BTW...did you know that working for a public school rules? I'm sitting in my nightie and bathrobe, haven't had a shower, just enjoying my day!
The roads are almost clear and I'm going to get some advance work done on my party preparations today, take the rush off tomorrow. Should be able to get a head start on the packing too. I know I whined about the snow earlier this week, but I stayed late at the office every night and got an awful lot of work done! So I'm much better now!
Hi to everyone...I know we have new people and I've lost track of everyone...but a special hug for Kyle, you Roman, Shawn , Deb , Princess, WG, MoZ, and of course, the one and only Jack!

...Princess I couldn't think of a better person to be kicked off survivor. I have loved the previous shows and was quite lucky in predicting who the winner would be about the time the tribes merged. That is except for the last one. On that series I didn't have a clue. So far on this show I have grown to dislike several. For example, I think Rob is a two faced weasel and Joanna is a bitch. (Just my usual low key expressions of opinion.) But I haven't really taken a liking to anyone on either team. I hope this one does not turn in to an "old versus young" thing. OK, more information than you wanted to know...

i have to agree - i was glad to see dan go - he was just so blah about everything - did mesh with the group for some reason - plus i don't think he likes doing anything that resembles work - LOL

Two of the three people that committed the arson that burned down 30 apartments turned out to be my students. Breaks my heart. My employee and her family lost everything except what they wore to work and school that day. I started a clothing, household goods, and money drive for her. The response was so wonderful on Thursday, I was reduced to tears twice, once when someone who manages a school on the other side of the county and doesn't know my employee challenged her staff to donate money and that she would match whatever amount they came up with.
Truly, this is a wonderful place, this state of Maryland, where people care so much!

Thanks for the kind thoughts WG. Yesterday off helped me really recharge, so I'm not as drained as I was...although the thought of 2 of my students mixed up in this...ugh!

I accomplished a lot yesterday too, but have a lot more to do...the party...and the trip. I'll check in when I can today.

(Ya know the worst part of this weekend for me is that I'll have to miss the race!!! I think my driver is starting second, and they're racing in Las Vegas...a place they only go to once a year, so I miss the LV race this year! dang! I'll keep my fingers crossed for him...and maybe I can sneak away from the party to check the race every now and then...)
