** Maryland **

It's part of the liberal arts background for my school. I'm a math major, soooo psych isn't all that interesting to me. Especially all the stuff we're working on now, it's like biology all over again, I hate it. And I don't care if people call me young, I mean, I am, I can't argue, lol.

Oh yeah...you are young...painfully! *giggle*
But stay and play...I'm teasing...not bitching!

Oh math schmath!
Psych is ever so much more interesting!!!

Of course my 11 year old is already doing math that I can't comprehend or help him with! Sheesh!
Passed the MD Functional Math test on his first try (aced it) in the 6th grade and I have students in my school, Seniors, who've been taking it twice a year since 7th grade and still haven't passed it! It's only functional math...not rocket science!
(I've known 3 REAL rocket scientists in my life btw...wahoo...Beth trivia!)

Painfully young? Man...never heard it referred to that way. I mean I'm only 21, but come on.
It is kinda sad about those students who can't pass the MFT, I used to tutor some of the kids at my old high school that hadn't passed it yet, and I wondered how on earth someone didn't take the time to get them to learn this stuff before letting them go. But oh well. I'm gonna try to go into teaching and so that was good experience. They gave me like 5 or 6 kids at a time and I'd give them lessons and what not, it was fun, but frustrating at times.

Good evening Everyone.... Thursday Evening

Start of the weekend for some..... A restful evening for others.... A joy to some of us,,,, and to some might be the beginning of the end of a dreadful week....

grins...

Where is everyone else???? Smiles...

FeistyRed...... Romans.... Watergirl..... Kyle.... MaskofZorro...... and everyone else?????????

Have funnnn and enjoy yourself here. Smiles ...

What biggg plans do you have the weekend?

I'm going home for spring break to work some, fun fun. I am gonna get to see some old friends of mine at a birthday party tomorrow night in Baltimore though, should be fun.

Well...I was teasing...I just have found through experience that I prefer older men...but that's just me!
I must say though, that I have met some younger men that I liked just fine! Maybe it's just my need to be younger than the people I'm around...it's getting a little harder to do every year, of course!

A teacher huh? Good for you! We need teachers desperately, and we expecially need male teachers...to be that positive role model!

Thanks again for the welcome. I look forward to getting to know people in here, should be lots of fun. Right now though I just want to put off studying psychology, lol.

I would think that posting on the Lit Forum would qualify as psychology homework...maybe you can ask your prof for extra credit.

Roman

PS--If you're a math major, you're gonna need the psych so that you can recognize when you begin to get detached from reality...ever hear of Ted Kaczynski?

*Sigh* late to the party again...is everyone on this thread an early-to-bed-early-to-rise type? I'm just getting back to work!

Roman

PS: BTW, BethAnne, who are these 'younger' guys whom you like? Are you sure that they exist?;)

Well I think I've been established as one of those younger guys, although I'm not sure if I'm the kind Bethanne likes, I suppose, lol. But I do exist, I assure you. And I know I've already lost touch somewhat with reality that I'd even think to be a math major, but you know how it is, gotta do what you enjoy. And somehow I don't think that posting on here would get me very far with my professor...but thanks for the suggestion. Oh well, back to studying.

Poor Roman! one or both of those babies up this morning? I'd forgotten what it was like to be awake, walking the floor at this time of the morning. I hope you were able to go back to sleep for a little while...

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!

HEY!

Why don't you happy people post the lyrics to Bye-Bye Miss American Pie in your signature? I love scrolling through long lyrics just to read one-sentence comments! Oh, wait a minute, did I say that out loud? That was just supposed to be a thought. Let me re-phrase that. Dang! It's posted already.

THIS IS WHY WE NEED SCHOOL VOUCHERS

Yes, why would a state-paid educator allow semi-literate children to advance to the next grade without the proper knowledge and skills? (rhetorical question, I'm just venting) Somebody's not earning their pay, and it's eating away my paycheck.

I'm young!

Welcome to dasani77, what's up man, its nice to have someone my age around here.... Being 21 is AWESOME!!! Who wouldn't want to be in their 20's again? Now I don't know if there are a large amount of young men in Maryland like Beth says but I suppose if you are looking at it in terms of who posts on this thread, now that there are two or three guys (well three but I haven't noticed Kyle much) who are 21 out of about 6 guys then I'd say yeah the ratio's pretty high... I'd argue that makes of an intreguing prospect for you ladies out there but tastes are tastes right BethAnne haha ;) ... Anyway, if you women who are older then us don't prefer us "young" guys then I'd say we need an influx of 20 something women and an influx of 50 year old guys for the ladies that would like them here and then we'd all be getting what we want (though I'd be disappointed because I do lover our "older" ladies :( , but alas I was born in the wrong decade).... So to make a long story short, Dasani77, welcome and by the way SOCCER IS AWESOME!!! Nothing better in the world my friend... Wild guess, you go to St. Mary's? I've known some people over time on their soccer team.

HELLO TO EVERYONE!!!

HEY, MOZ!

Welcome back, masked stranger! I have nothing against younger guys, so you all are fine with me. Younger girls are a lot of fun, too. Don't care for soccer, but if you're ever up for a game of touch/flag football, I am there.

I hope you're having a great Friday and will have a great weekend. Not much planned. I rented some movies last night: watched Minority Report (so-so), Austin Powers' Goldmember (really so-so), The Ring (decent, not hair-raising scary, good and creepy, though) and I have one more to watch Something About Mary. I heard that was rip-roaringly funny so I'm looking forward to it. Going downtown today to have lunch with my cousin and then I'm a free bird for the rest of the weekend. Will just stay at home and watch movies and enjoy the sunshine. Y'all have a great weekend.

Regards,

WG

So I'm curious, does anyone off here ever meet and hook up? I'm kinda interested in finding someone...it's been a while for me, hehe.

 Not to discourage you...but while there are definitely folks on the Lit Forum who have 'hooked up' (and I have heard tell that some folks on this thread have 'hooked up' with fellow Litsters), it's not the kind of thing that happens all the time...my advice is to be yourself, post early and often, let people get to know you and your personality...and if the stars are aligned, the right woman will find you!

This is in direct contrast to the more common approach of men (on-line in general, as well as on Lit), which is just to PM as many females as you can identify with a nifty pick-up line like "I've got 12-inches of hot man-meat waiting for you and all you have to do is tell me where and when you want to meet." (And if you really want to do it up, include a URL pointing to an appropriately Photoshop'd pic of your member.) Believe me, the gambler's fallacy holds true--your chances of success DO NOT increase if you simply expand the number of women you try to pick up!

:D

LOL...while I see your point, WG, y'know that in the 'options' on the control panel you can choose NOT to have everyone's sig displayed when you scroll through the board!

Believe me, while you'll have to sacrifice seeing my idiotic 'Anpanman' cartoon face, I think that the benefits outweigh the costs...:D

I see your point Roman. I was just going to see what kind of things might happen from talking to people here, not proposition every female that posts. :) I mean I'm not that desperate...yet.
