The 9th is shaping up as the consensus date--probably starting around 6:30, and people can always show up a bit late! I don't know off-hand if Chevy's even takes reservations for large groups, but I can find out. In any case, I couldn't even find a listing for a TGIFriday's near Arundel Mills--on the TGIFs web site or elsewhere--so TexMex may be the food of choice. There's also a brewpub at the mall, but I know nothing about the quality...

If anyone has serious objections (with serious alternatives to suggest, of course ), now is the time to make them known...otherwise, I'll start making preliminary arrangement (including figuring out how I'll slip away for the event!) and send out periodic reminders between now and then...

Friday's is really there - so i'm not sure why you couldn't find a listing - maybe have to get it from directory assistance - it has only been open for about two weeks - it is right on arundel mills blvd

the micro brewery is DuClaws - i have been there once and it was ok - but i'm not a beer drinker so i can't comment on the brewery part - lol

i agree with bethanne that jillian's would probably be too loud to allow much conversation

the other restaurant/bar at the mall is Remomo's (i think that's how it is spelled) - i believe it's italian and is supposed to have a nice bar - but i've never been there

again the only problem with the mall is the distance away that you usually have to park - especially friday night - getting there wouldn't be bad but leaving late at night - in the dark - a female - alone - i guess you guys will have to be our knights in shining armor and escort us to our cars >>>GRIN<<<

Tuesday at FOSE

Hi everyone.... Smiles....

Heyyy BethAnne.... hugggsss you tight.... Hope your having a wonderful day today.... keep up the positive thinking.... I am with you on that... Smiles.... Good to see you. Your always welcome to say anything you like here though... so if you feel like venting thats all right also. We are all friends here, and support you in all that your doing.

As for me Today... I was at FOSE,,, downtown at the New Washington Convention Center.... I really had a good time. One of my buddies from work meet me there and we spent the day together. It was great seeing all the new Technology in action. You just would not believe all the new things that are on the horizon. It is going to be amazing for sure what you will be able to do technologically in just a few months.

Sooo here I am home early.... and able to get online early,,,, Smiles....

FOSE

So funny. I went to FOSE today too. I literally got about 40 pens, (5 of which light up), 2 t-shirts, some stress balls, a yo-yo, and a stainless steel coffee mug! Good stuff. Good day. Wierd we were there at the same time. Hello everyone.

And I really do have a lot to be thankful for...not just the things mom's always say, like health, and very general things...but I have some very specific and wonderful things that make each day bearable...

at work and at home
I've been smiling

then I just found out my eldest brother has been diagnosed with glaucoma...
but you know what?
weeping, wailing, and gnashing my teeth isn't going to help him
so I'm gonna say a prayer
and move on
and send positive thoughts his way

and I sure hope the rest of you are having a good day, good week...happy and positive, in spite of the gray and cold weather.

I was thinking of stopping by as well, just to talk to some exhibitors...did it seem worthwhile? I have to be downtown on Thursday for a completely different conference, but it will be near the new Convention Center--but I can't remember if FOSE keeps going thru Thursday...
