I think a lot of people are missing out on WHY the protests are happening, and why they are widely supported.

It is not merely a cry out against rampant injustice or tyranny.
It is not even that they have the power to stop what is happening.
But it is to make their voices heard. To those in power who CAN stop what is happening. In the hopes, perhaps in vain, that they will listen.
But mostly, it is to tell the rest of the world that NO, Americans do NOT support the tyranny or the push towards dictatorship that is happening in the country. Telling them that yes, The American people still stand for justice, freedom, and peace, even if their government does not. To say that yes, there are still good people in America who are not okay with what their government is doing.

In places like Russia and North Korea, the population has been cowed by their government for so long, that they live in mortal terror of the government and they are too scared.

But not in America. Not yet. That is why we protest. In a democracy, the government should fear the people. Not the other way around.

ICE has lost middle America. White people no longer give them the benefit of the doubt. They’re the bad guys now.

Every time they try to act tough they get more and more loathed. I expect they’ll continue to ratchet up the violence to try to cow Americans into submission, but Americans aren’t so easily cowed. There are too many of us ready to say “fuck no! You ain’t the boss of me!”

The heroes in Minneapolis have shown the rest of us the way.
 
Two dead in Minneapolis now. The video shows that the latest victim had a licensed pistol. An agent is shown removing his weapon while he is on the ground BEFORE they shot him ten times. Clearly, a real terrorist keeps his gun holstered while watching a lady get the shit kicked out of her, right?

I'm so proud of Minnesota. Now that nasty Department of Injustice sociopath witch is trying to extort the governor by writing a letter asking him for voter rolls in exchange of ICE removal. She's a very stupid and evil person, as with everyone in this entire (mis) administration. They are harassing blue states, the very states that bankroll this country.
