I'm with ITW, here. Except that I didn't vote.

So WD has alternative opinions. That's quite alright. There are a lot of alternative opinions that I read and *choose* to either pay attention to or not. Unless the author is an obvious troll, which I don't think WD is, then the author is entitled to an opinion.

I'm not sure where the idea for this originated as I've been away...but I honestly hope its in fun. Life is too freaking short otherwise.

I don't always like everything *either* of them says, but hey, it's a free speech board, ya know? And while WD can be a cantankerous old fart now and then, and MSir can be a bit of an inexperienced and aggravating little snot at times, overall, I think both of them add to the board with some off the wall or contrary positions that make me think. Hell, *I'm* a pain in the ass (and not in the good way <smirk>) sometimes. Maybe *more* than sometimes.

I think once in a while we tend to forget that this place is for *enjoyment,* not fussin', feudin' and fightin', and maybe get our panties in a wad a bit too much over some casual pixels on an electronic screen...
 
I voted for MisterSir. It would be tragic if he wound up just as cynical and jaded as WD when he's 40something and the best way to avoid that is to get the man some sub pussy. Having said that, I seriously doubt he'd be interested in mine. Golden showers under the bridge and all that.

I voted fuck off not only to this silliness but the overall hostility lately around here especially toward newbies and those who start their discovery of themselves and BDSM on-line.

Also agree. We were all n00bs (and young) once, and I first started checking out BDSM online. And I'm awesome. And I guess other people can be awesome, too.

I'm keeping my opionions to myself. I have some very strong ones and the people closest to me know what they are and that's good enough for me.

I will say this, I don't get bitterness. I think maybe I'm just missing a chemical or something because I never could understand the consept of being bitter. I guess I'm doomed to being constantly bubbly. *giggles*

Overall hostility is never good, I'm with you there.

I started my self discovery online. I met my Master online. I can credit the internet and this forum in particular for helping me accept my sub side. I think we can trivialise the internet too much. Communication is communication even if it's not face to face. There are no end of posters here who have said that without the internet, they would not have accepted and explored their kinkier side, had the info to do so safely or had the right partner to do so with. I actually think it's a very good thing that people with kinky urges can furnish themselves with info at the click of a button. I have no doubt the internet has prevented many an embarrassing trip to the ER.

Personally, I fail to see the attraction some have for purely online dynamics but it's their life, their cam and their business.

It's great that you have managed to discover yourself without the aid of a PC and a broadband connection. Not everyone does things that way though and whatever you may think of MrSir, he is a product of his generation and the mass-media, global communications systems we take completely for granted now. I assume you're referring to him as WD's far further along in his sexual discovery.

And just for the record, I have nothing against WD either. Just in case I seem unduly biased.

Whoa...misunderstanding here. I actually wasn't referring to WD or MisterSir to be honest. I don't know either one nor to I pay much attention to what either one of them say...nothing personal to either of them I just simply don't know them to make a judgement.

My comments were more to the origination of this thread, I agreed with 00Syd about the silliness.

As far as the hostility that was just a general comment about how I feel the tone of some posters have been lately.

It is true I "discovered" myself without the aid of a PC. I discovered it from 45+ years of life. However, I found my Dominant on-line and continue to use on-line communication and phone as our primary communication along with way too infrequent visits.

Jumping into this game way late, but hey, it seems like it could be an amusing one. My vote was for Bunny, because she's a little bit of my online hero because she seems so genuine, witty, and intelligent. Not to mention she does some pretty hardcore stuff that I would only dream of doing. If I were more into girls, I'd totally have a girl crush on her. Dang preference for men. :D
