Hmmmmm ok......from the count I have, it is looking like we have maybe 10 or so people who can come (that's sorta optimistic, we maybe have 8 definites).
If one person makes a reservation (this will not be me.....I can't use my credit card b/c my parents look at the statements).....we need to make sure everyone is willing to help pay for the room.
For a suite....$120 or so.....we will need $12-15 per person....if we have a little extra, we will have covered snacks too, which is awesome. The money needs to be brought along.....don't want to deal with trying to exchange info to get money to the person later, and I really don't want to put anyone in the situation of having to pay $60 for the hotel because they made the reservation and no one helped them pay.
So my question is.....is everyone willing to bring about $15 in cash with them to help pay for the hotel room? You may not need to use it all, if we have more people than I think......$15 is the max....but look at it this way. Since we are staying away from the city, you will not need to pay for parking. There will be snacks provided, and we will have a warm, dry, comfortable place to stay and talk, both before and after dinner.
Perhaps we could postpone the trip to Sex World and Choice.....make the hotel room worth our money by spending some time there before most people have to go home. Next time, of course, we could go to Sex World and Choice, stay late there, and then just all go home. But if we try to do too much, we will end up spending lots of money and not getting a chance to enjoy anything too much.

There was some comparisons to Nancy Friday's work in the introduction so I am excited to see if it is anywhere near as fun reading as Friday's works.

Looks like the Northland Inn is available at $115. And if we are staying there and not going to Sex World/Choice, it doesn't matter exactly how far it is from downtown. It is in Minneapolis, though, so can't be too far.

OK......my decision is the Northland Inn, since we have such a glowing recommendation from deepstar.
So here's the plan:
~ Meet at 6:30 in the lobby of the Northland Inn (link to come, so you can find directions). I think to avoid suspicion, I will be staked out downstairs, sending people up.....I don't think they'd like a large group going up all together.
~ We'll hang out in the room until maybe 7, to make sure everyone who's coming to dinner on time is there....then head out in carpools to dinner (where? who knows? we'll figure it out before the 20th).
~ Eating dinner.....people can meet us there, we will have the location posted.
~ Back to the hotel.....maybe around 10 or so. People who are planning on showing up around then can call me and figure out where we are.
~ Talking, snacks, movies (?), games (?), whatever.....lots of fun
Sound good to everyone?? And again, is $15 ok with you all???
