Y'know, TA, this reads as though you're not looking forward to meeting anyone else who's going to show up. Gotta watch that phrasing in a medium like this: inflections and intonations don't show up well...

I started out reading every page of this thread, but skipped to every other. I like the framework of the party. I would be a little weirded out by the thought of some hookup free-for-all, but it sounds like people will be required to conduct themselves responsibly, so I'm warming up to the idea of coming. I need to read everyone's stuff or I'll have nothing to say to anyone. I'm not exactly sure how one brings up the interest in reading or writing erotica in cocktail conversation, but if there's a place to learn, this would be it!

Okay, my crazy cats. The get-together is in two days. Am I safe in assuming that my friend Chris and I will be the only two actually sleeping in the hotel room? I haven't seen anyone else say they were staying for the night. Granted, we might stay up well into the dawn hours, who knows. But I like to be prepared.

Also, with the last list I took a look at (which I can't seem to find while I'm sneaking online at work) it looks like eight of us are definitely showing, which puts us at about $12 a piece for the room. Of course, if more show up, the price goes down. Good ol' supply and demand. Then there's the pizza on top of that, or whatever we choose to do. Hell, if we can't come to a consensus, we could skip over to the Mall of America and choose whatever we want. If it comes to that. Though I might sneak away to drool at Angelina Jolie for an hour or so if that happens. Mmmmmmm.....

Oops, where was I? Right... so. Say there are eight of us. That would put us at... three large pizzas I think. Or maybe two plus breadsticks or something. Say that comes to $30, so that's another $3.74.

Okay, enough rambling from me. I just want people to know how it all stands right now. Obviously, the more people that show up, the better bang for your buck. Also, if you want to show up for an hour or two and don't want to pay a full $12 or whatever for use of the room, just let me know or PM me or something. I'm flexible. I just don't want to get totally jacked here. That would not make a happy Dizzy.

Thanks for the kind words regarding "Doubletake at the Doubletree" Sal! I had noticed you had used a similar format for "The All Nighter", Great minds think alike?...an interesting coincidence at the very least. We've got some common ground for a conversation this Friday. I'm about 60% in for the party Friday. That number could go to 80% as soon as this evening with a full commitment possible as soon as tomorrow. I'm just starting to get a sense for the personality(s) of this group, but I think I could fit in ok. And if not, well at least I can drop the price per person down a little...lol.

Yes, back to the story....I am glad you liked it, you've probably read "The Secret Admirer" by now too. Something tells me you are going to like it even better! I hope I'm not coming off as conceited here, I'm just proud of my stories and love it when people send me emails saying how much they enjoyed them. Dizz is layin' down the law! Awesome. I'd say everyone should bring at least $16 or so, but more if you want drinks......maybe like $20, to be prepared. And bring your swimsuits!!!

I will post a mega-recap tomorrow, also with a list of who I think is coming. Sounds good, everyone, I'm psyched!!

Feedback Junkie! Me too! But it's so rare. I quit looking at the numbers... it was sort of disheartening to know that over 9,000 times a story has been read only like 65 people would vote and out of that maybe 3 would give feedback. Just one of those things writers truly understand ... that is... until we educate the masses of the importance of feedback.

I think the lack of feedback is one of the reasons I've not written as much lately... focusing more on the picture side of things... with Amateur Pic feedback lets me get feedback almost instanteously... I need that! I guess I am a junkie to the Nth degree.

Well, here's the good news about my involvement on Friday. I had this killer dream about the getogether last night. I'll save you all most of the, um, juicy details, but let's just say I woke up moist. Now, I know the purpose of the meet isn't to hook up, but I've still got to say that a thrilling dream about it can't be a bad thing.

The bad news is that I can't go. I've got birthday activities (mine, thank you), unfortunately. Believe me, I'm not excited about it. I stopped being happy about b-days 10 years ago. Anyway, I'll be with you in spirit. And I know it'll be great. After all, my dream tells me ya'll are gonna have a fabulous time.
