lmao... @ postcards... ain't been a touristy bug... when I do go to town it is to eat and usually late evenings when most of the shops are closed. I travel, but don't get much time to enjoy.. so don't envy me too much.. lol
am usually rushing from airports to stations to hotels to offices to rigsites...
dayum... was just a day after I passed thru Amsterdam, that the Turkish plane dropped off the runway yesterday...

Yesterday was 44 or something and today it's like 35..northern WI is getting up to 10 inches of snow..where i'm at is south eastern WI near the IL border..it's just dark and rainy..no snow for us my way they say..we'll c tho.

I still do envy u bug..you see places more often than most ever will.

It's real wet here today..and icy..i had to run to the bank and get groceries..kinda slippery..and i froze getting gas..LoL

But my dammed heat wasn't working last nite and it was 50 in my bedroom and 63 out here ...got the heat guy over and it's finally up to 68!!
Had my sweats on and big robe and blanket over me
It's snowing again not hard and we prbly got about 4 inches so far

Glad u didn't drive..i hate driving in snow..glad we got rain instead..its slippery like i said but the salters r out..and it's not as bad as it could've been..

Am back in India.. sudden change in plans...
The xfer stalled as there is a freeze in hiring and moving people around coz of the downturn and my xfer got aborted.
Was a shame, as I have been trying for a while to move from a guy who doesn't like me from the day he came.. I would prefer an outright hostile person than one who undermines me while pretending to be professionally courteous..
Were is not for the downturn, I'd probably be already scouting for openings..
Keeping fingers crossed...
The job in Italy is also delayed, as are many other projects...
So am home awaiting a call.. could be a week or two..
Trying to get over the awkwardness of having to report back to the person I am now known to have sought to be transferred from... gawwd.. feel like a dog with a tail tucked in and head bowed... not to mention, knowing that I have to watch out for any slips and all my shortcomings will be noted and achievements ignored.
Right now in a lousy mood... so am gonna just sit back and keep fingers crossed and hope for the best...
One can try to change relations if there are reasons,, when resentment is from some unknown bias / prejudice and that too well disguised, there is nothing I can do.. but just hope I get the change I seek with minimum damage to my career..
Dayum.. even with FIVE recognitions (four for the continent and one globally) if he can still rate me as a C on a scale of A to D, there is nothing I can do.. except record my dissent with the evaluation.. but usually my dissent would not carry weight and so am just going to pretend it never happened...
And yes, if an opening comes up... I will take t up, even if it pays less...

I started smoking in my junior year of HS..my parents had to buy them for me LoL i did quit for about 3yrs..then one day i said "Heh fuck it" and got me a pack..that was 5 years ago. Whatev..i like it.
