I have to do that soon. It's strange how work leaves one no time to do actual life. And I'm not even talking about fun things; I don't even have time to run errands or balance my checkbook.

Of course if I spent less time here....

Yes, checkbook and errands are at the top of my list, along with cleaning. (Relatives in town next weekend.)

Oh, I know that feeling all too well. But with threads llike yours, it's difficult to resist.

I never used to like hot climates but then I moved to the far snowy north. Now I long for deserts and tropical climes.

20th century authors: Julian Barnes, Robertson Davies, A. S. Byatt, Michael Chabon, Roddy Doyle, Jorge Luis Borges....

and I really like mystery novels by just about anybody.
