Pronouns work the same way, I like when someone has their pronouns visible because it gives me comfort in knowing that I won’t offend with mis-use.

I agree with this. Pick any singular pronoun you like, I'll respect your choice. I draw the line at plural pronouns, because my 9th grade English teacher was adamant about only three cases where plural was appropriate:

I’m sad that me asking why you were so upset with someone else declaring their pronouns makes me intolerant. I guess the difference is I’m not trying to deny you your right to be who you are, I’m just asking why it upsets you or affects your world. I am not at all holier than thou, and pc culture is just culture. It evolves and changes, and thank goodness or my life wouldn’t look like it does.
