Morning Coffee And Sweet Surprises (Closed to Poprockz)

The way Cora was blushing, what was she thinking of. Sabastian wracked his brain until he remembered the hot smell of sex when they had walked into the cabin. While a normal person wouldn't have noticed, he could smell it clear as day. It almost felt a bit invasive being able to smell that sort of thing. At the memory of it, his own cheeks went pink.

The appraising look Vin gave this new woman was not lost on Sabastian, and he gritted his teeth. He wanted to smack her silly for no other reason than that she was flirting with him right in front of him. Although, it wasn't like he had any claim on Vin, so it was unfair to her. It was fucking aggravating, though.

"Alright then. Come this way." She walked in front of them, sauntering in a way that showed off her ass without making it too obvious. It was obvious to Sabastian that he was dealing with a thirsty woman, and he suddenly felt even more in the mood for a drink.

When they reached the showers, the woman gestured to two entrances. "They're communal showers, so you get a women's and a men's." Her eyes went to Vin again and she smiled, "I'll be hanging out in the lounge in building with the L at the front if you want to hang out afterwards before the party." Se winked at Vin before walking off.

At this point, Sabastian was wound up and he scowled at a nearby building. However, when he heard that it was a communal shower, he blushed and shrugged. "I'm actually pretty thirsty. I'll go get something to drink first and maybe shower later." He didn't want Vin to see him naked, nor Damien for that matter, so he shifted and waited for them to leave.

The womens ass was pretty hard to miss, as even Cora took a glance or two, although for her it wasn't so much sexual as much as she just recognized when someone had the goods and she could appreciate it. She glanced at Damien as well, giving him a teasing little grin. She wanted him to know she was ok with him having a good look if he wanted, as there really was a world of difference between appreciation and outright running around behind someone's back, or openly flirting right in front of them-like a smack to the face.

Vin had put his hands in his pockets and was using that as an excuse to keep his jeans from pushing up against his junk too much. He wasn't too worried about anyone seeing, the guitar slung over his shoulder did a pretty good job of hiding it. Although, when she mentioned a communal shower, he frowned a bit. He wasn't self conscious about his body...but that didn't mean he wanted to go waving his dick around in plain sight either.

His hand goes up to rub the back of his neck, thinking of having to take a shower in the same open space as Damien and...Sabastian. No, no he didn't like that at all, and he was about to offer maybe going in after the other two were done, but the little man saved him the trouble. With Sabastian out of the equation, he thought maybe he could deal with that, provided they stood on opposite ends of the room and everyone kept their eyes to themselves. Besides, maybe they at least had some privacy walls set up.

"I'll be hanging out in the lounge in building with the L at the front if you want to hang out afterwards before the party."

His awkwardness was quickly forgotten at her obvious invitation, and he dropped his hand and smiled.

"Maybe I'll stop by for one drink, loosen up a bit" he called back. He still planned on doing his own thing for most of the evening, but he couldn't be rude, now could he?

He went ahead and made his way to the showers, trying to get a bit of a head start on Damien just so he could see if there was any privacy, and just how crowded it was in there. He kind of hoped there were more people, as it would greatly diminish the awkwardness as opposed to it being just the two of them.

Cora didn't waste any time either, practically skipping towards the entrance with a girlish smile on her face, so ready to feel that water. She didn't even care if it was ice cold, she just wanted to be clean. At the last second though, just before she disappears inside, she turns around and calls out to Damien.

"Wait here for me when your done? I won't take long, promise."

She then turned and dashed inside.

Damien had seen that ass sway back and forth, but he had looked away and pretended not to notice. If there was one thing he didn't want, it was for Cora to feel insecure in his affections for her and only her. When they briefly met eyes, he gave her a little smile as if to say, "I'd much rather have your ass." Reaching behind her, he gave her a very quick squeeze and then continued on innocently beside her, pretending that he had done nothing.

He really didn't mind a communal shower. He knew Vin was bisexual and that men were technically on the table, but he really didn't think he was Vin's type. He wasn't small and adorable like Sabastian was, and he assumed Vin wouldn't be interested in looking at him.

When the words "...loosen up a bit." exited Vin's mouth, Sabastian didn't want to stick around. He knew that if he saw Vin within the next twenty minutes, he might make a fool of himself as he seethed. The man felt like he had been sucker-punched, and he really wanted something to take his mind off of things. Therefore, he stomped and followed her to the lounge and went to the bar.

Damien watched Sabastian for a moment, feeling a bit of sympathy for him. He knew now what it was like to be jealous, and it was a nasty feeling. He turned and was about to follow after Vin when he heard Cora. He grinned and nodded. "See you soon!"

Inside the showers, it was practically empty since it was the afternoon, and unfortunately there were no privacy dividers. It was just a barracks-style locker-room shower. Damien looked around and went to one of the lockers, starting to take off his shirt.

At the bar, there was a man stereotypically drying glasses. "I need... something strong." Sabastian requested, looking up hopefully. The man gave him a hard stare for a moment and then his face lightened up. He had smaller gauges and several earrings, wavy brown hair looking as though it was styled to be wild. He leaned over the bar and smiled at Sabastian.

"The name's Dave. Tell me about it and I'll get you a drink that'll knock you on your ass." He looked expectantly at him as Sabastian looked at him surprise.

"Are you... are you making me talk about my problems in exchange for booze?" he asked, suspiciously.

The man grinned, "that's exactly what I'm doing."

Having gotten there first, Vin had already quickly stripped down and was on the far end of the room, adjusting the water. It wasn't like it was a huge deal, but he definitely wanted to get it over and done with quickly, really not liking that no one else was in there. He wasted no time stepping under the running water, not really waiting for it to warm up before he started getting his hair soaped up, as that would take the longest amount of time.

In the other shower, Cora wasn't feeling any of the awkwardness. Having seen no one in there, but also not really minding if there had been, she stood under water for a few long moments and just enjoyed the way it felt going down her skin. Closing her eyes and sighing slightly, she tried not to let her thoughts wander too far into bad territory, instead choosing to think about Damien and how cute he was going to look when he came out of that shower with his wet hair all tussled. She could still almost feel his warm hand on her ass, and her cheeks felt a bit flushed at the thought of them both being clean now, wondering if they could sneak off anywhere for some privacy, or if that would be too risky.

Giggling a little bit and shaking her head, she opened her eyes to find the soap and start washing herself properly. The shower felt amazing, but now she was eager to get it done with so she could have some more time with her man. She was so looking forward to an actual party too, and being able to really show him how she could dance. Maybe the soldiers would even let her hook her phone up to the speakers so she could play some of her own music, stuff she was already practiced with.

Damien respected Vin's desire not to be near him in the shower. After all, he had no idea whether Vin was self-conscious or something like that. For that reason, he went to the opposite side of the showers when he was naked, sighing from the heat of the water as he let it run all over him. His mind drifted to Cora, and he almost thought about her in the shower before shaking his head. The last thing he wanted was to get a boner to make things more awkward. He was soon lathering up his hair as he thought about Vin and Sabastian instead. He wished there was some way that they could help Sabastian, but he really had no answers.

"That seems a bit unfair. Why can't I just get booze without having to spill my guts?" Sabastian grumbled, sitting down on the barstool."

Dave shook his head, "for one, it's my bar. For two, you may not want to talk about it, but I can totally tell that you need to. So, either you're going to tell me and then be rewarded with some powerful booze, ooor you can simply try to be satisfied by watching me dry out glasses. No judgement- that can be therapeutic in of itself." He grinned, flipping a glass up into the air before catching it masterfully.

Sabastian watched and couldn't help but be impressed that toss. "Fine..." He grumbled, sighing. "Well... I have a crush on someone, and they've made it clear they're interested, but I have... a flaw that I know wouldn't be okay with them. I'm feeling super shitty about it. Is that good enough?" The blond man grumpily looked up at the bartender.

"Hmm... Let me ask you this, does he know what this "flaw" is?" Dave leaned forward and rested his head in his hands while looking at Sabastian.

He drew back in surprise, "what do you mean "him?" I never said-" he stopped, the bartender giving him a knowing smile before Sabastian turned red. "No... he doesn't know."

Vin rinsed his hair out, then washed his body quickly. Setting the bar of soap down, and trying not to think of how many other people had used that same bar, he rinsed and then shut the water off. Grabbing a towel and wrapping it around his waist, he twisted his hair around a few times and gave it a good squeeze. Once that was dealt with, he turned and, keeping his eyes averted, made his way over to his clothes and got dressed. He didn't bother to dry off more, knowing that if he didn't have something to help cool him off, he was just going to get hot and sweaty again. His only regret was not having a clean set of clothes, although he was sure he could probably barter for some with one of the soldiers. A couple hours of work, or maybe a good stage performance later if they had the right equipment and anyone else with some musical talent. He briefly wondered if Cora would be too shy to get up in front of a crowd of people and share that beautiful, talented voice.

When he was done, he started whistling a bit as he made his way for the exit, intent on getting over to that building and getting himself a cold beer. Or hell, he'd even take a warm one.

Cora hadn't waisted much time in the shower either, and although she spent a bit more time trying to de-tangle her hair, she was already dressed and waiting outside.

Damien noticed how the man didn't dare look at him, probably trying to be respectful. He continued to wash up, using the shampoo and soap bar to make himself nice and squeaky clean. Near the end of the shower, he turned the water cool so that he could hang onto the coolness of the water for longer when he went into the heat again. After all of that, he dressed again and exited the place, looking around for Cora. When he saw her, he grinned and walked over, running his fingers through his damp hair before resting his arms on her waist. "Where to, my lovely lady?"

------

"Well then, how do you know if he won't be okay with it?" The man cocked his head to the side a bit to punctuate his question.

"I just know, okay. It's- well... It's something he would find really fucking distasteful." Sabastian looked away from him, leaving out the fact that getting with Vin might even be dangerous for him.

"Well, have you ever considered actually asking the man? I feel like you're making all the decisions for him without considering whether he's willing to overlook the flaw anyway. Maybe he would if you only asked." The bartender smiled as Sabastian looked a bit speechless.

Looking into his face again, Sabastian replied, "honestly, it's not something I can risk. I just... I just know it won't work out." His face fell into a sad expression, his eye fogging up a bit. Damn this fucking bartender and his therapy voodoo.

Dave made a sympathetic face, "hey. Don't get so down on yourself. You really seem like a keeper with your cute blond hair and that darling eye-patch. Whether or not he's the one doesn't mean you won't find someone else that will accept all of you." He paused and reached out, booping Sabastian on the nose before smiling warmly. "For example. When you're ready to see other people, I'd be happy to take you on a date myself. No pressure, though, just saying." Sabastian blushed a deep red and was unsure of what to say in response to that.

Cora was absolutely bubbly as Damien finally came out of the showers, all but bouncing on her heels. Her hands were behind her back, a big grin on her face, and she was rocking slightly from side to side in a bit of a hyper tic. She stops only momentarily when he runs his fingers through his hair, in her mind reminding her so much of some hot playboy model. She swallows a little and a small blush comes to her face.

When he puts his hands on her and she looks up into his eyes, she was almost sure that he could hear her heart all but beating out of her chest.

"Do you have any idea how much you turn me on?" she asks quietly, not being able to help herself.

"Mm...let's get some food first. Then maybe a drink."

And just like that she was back to being bubbly Cora, taking him by the hand with a big smile and excitedly tugging him with her to explore the base.

Vin had exited with his guitar just in time to see the women tugging him along, causing him to smile and shake his head. He gave them a few seconds to outpace him a bit before he followed in the same general direction, looking for that L shaped building the redhead women had mentioned.

"Do you have any idea how much you turn me on?"

Damien's loins started stirring at that sentence, the words going straight to his cock. Damn she was sexy, the way her hazel eyes looked seductively up at him. He had half a mind to toss her over his shoulder, find a dark corner, and show her how turned on her body made him.

"If it's anything close to like what you do to me, then I imagine you're practically dripping down your thighs." He leaned over and murmured in her ear. "Food also sounds good too, though. We probably need some energy for what I want to do to you tonight."

The man grinned as she pulled him along, his cock hard in his pants as he walked. He thought to himself that he should probably inconspicuously adjust himself once they got to where they were going.

It wasn't long before they were at the L building, walking in to find Sabastian already at the bar.

---------

"I... well I'll think about it, but I don't think I'll be ready to see anyone anytime soon." Sabastian answered.

"That's okay, no need to feel like you have to. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Que sera sera, you know?" Dave grins and turns, getting a glass and pouring some different liquors and juices into it before setting it in front of the blonde patron, a little blue umbrella hanging out the side.

"There you go. I'd suggest you pace yourself, as that drink has about four ounces of alcohol it." Dave warned playfully.

It was Sabastian's turn to grin and he nodded, "thank god, that's what I'm counting on."

They chatted a bit more as Sabastian took a couple sips, the bartender showing him some magic tricks he had picked up, even pulling an oreo from behind Sabastian's ear. Of course, he was thrilled and super happy to have the comforting taste of the familiar cookie. He excitedly asked for more tricks and the bartender gladly obliged.

It was true, he had made her pretty wet, and it did nothing to help the blush on her face as she had pulled him a little closer when he whispered his sweet promise in her ear.

But now they were in the bar and spotting Sabastian, Cora went over and pulled out a seat next to him.

"Heeey~ Fancy meeting you here" she grinned.

Vin showed up about five minutes later, having took a little slower of a stroll through the place and looking around. The diversity of people surprised him, but also made him feel more at ease. It felt almost normal, to see so many people.

Just before he made his way into the building, he saw a young kid, or well, he looked like a kid, seemingly trying to sneak his way into the building. He couldn't have been much older than eighteen, but he was wearing army fatigues and had his own gun, so Delvin could only assume he was one of the soldiers. He had dark black, short cropped hair and very lightly colored eyes, almost like Damien's in a way, but also a bit blue.

They made eye contact, the boy seemingly reaching for the door, but he quickly put his hand down and turned to walk away as if he had just gotten caught doing something wrong. Looking a bit confused, Vin went ahead and kept walking. He made it to the door and was just about to go in, when he heard a small voice say "hey" very quietly.

Looking over, he saw the same boy step out from the side of the building, and, looking a bit sheepish, come up to greet him.

"Hey. Do you think maybe you could sneak me a beer?"

He gave him an innocent grin, but it was pretty obvious from the way that he was acting that he wasn't supposed to be going in there.

Delvin looked down on him for a moment and thought about it.

"I'll see what I can do kid. But only one, and you better shotgun it so you don't get my ass in trouble."

The kid looked shocked for a moment, and then he got a big goofy smile.

"Dude yes! I will! Oh man, thanks so much! I owe you one, seriously!"

Vin couldn't help but smile a little. He knew what it was like around that age, and who knew the type of shit the kid might have seen. One beer wouldn't hurt him.

"Don't worry about it, but don't wait up for me."

With that, he made his way inside and took a slow look around the building. He spotted Damien sitting next to Cora and gave him a bit of a smile and nod, and then he spotted the beautiful red haired women. He gave her a more pleasurable smile and made his way over to her, taking a seat and sitting his guitar down.

"My name's Delvin."

Her offered her a warm and calloused hand, giving her his full attention for the moment.

Sabastian looked over at Cora and immediately smelled that she was extremely aroused. The soap did a really good job of masking any other bodily scent, but the liquid pooling in her underwear was clear as day. He looked away from her and took a large gulp of his drink, the glass now about halfway empty. His cheeks were now a soft pink from the alcohol, the man having achieved a bit of tipsiness.

“Hey. They have hard liquor in here, isn’t that cool? Although, this guy was trying to pump me for information about my personal life before he would give me any.” He pointed an accusing finger at Dave who smiled innocently.

“Well, I do that for all my patrons who come in to drink alone and look like life has given them a nice, swift kick in the nads.” He winked at Cora and leaned on the bar. “Now that we have a party here, do the two of you want anything?”

“I’ll have a martini. And what were you guys talking about?” Damien asked curiously, not too concerned about the wink he gave Cora since bartenders were known to be a bit more playful and friendly sometimes. Some people gave him odd looks sometimes for ordering what might seem like a "girly" drink, but it was really just a clever way of ordering two shots and an olive.

Dave shook his head, “afraid I can’t spill the beans. Patient confidentiality and all that.” He grinned playfully, his eyes going to Sabastian who grumpily took another drink.

Damien nodded at Vin when he saw the man enter and give him a nod of acknowledgement. His attention then returned to Cora and Sabastian, and also to the bartender himself.

Over at the table, the woman took his hand and shook warmly. “Hey there, handsome. The name’s Aurora.” She smiled and pushed a beer his way, having ordered it preemptively.

“So... how are you holding up? I’ve been here near the start of things, so I haven’t really seen how it is out there, but I imagine it’s been hard.” Her voice was soft and sensual without being too obviously thirsty.

Cora gave the bartender a knowing smile at his wink.

"Hmm. Can you make me a bloody mary with about half a shot of vodka instead of a full shot? I haven't had anything to eat yet and it's still kinda early. Ooh! And if you have any of those pickled green beans, those things are delicious."

She took a moment to look around the place while he was making their drinks, and she noticed that Vin was sitting with the red haired beauty from earlier. She quickly turned her attention back to the bar, but it kind of hurt a little bit that he wasn't sitting with them. She was also starting suspect that something had gone sour between him and Sabastian and that made her feel sorry for her new little friend. She decided right then that she was going to spend a lot of her evening with him and try to help him lighten up.

"The name’s Aurora."

Vin gave her a soft smile.

"That's a beautiful name, Aurora."

He gave her a little nod of thanks for the beer and took a good few swigs before answering.

"Oh, I'm holding up about as well as everyone else I imagine. Seen a few things I wish I hadn't seen. Lost a few friends..."

He took another drink and looked around, trying to avoid making direct eye contact with Sabastian.

"It's definitely not pretty out there. Not quite Hell on Earth yet, but might be getting there.

"What about you? How are you holding up?"

Dave drummed his hands on the bar for a moment before snapping his fingers to point at Cora. "Light Bloody Mary coming right up." He walked around and gathered the ingredients, throwing it together with grace before adding a stalk of celery to it and setting it in front of her. He also whipped up a martini for Damien, settling it near his hand.

The bartender walked into the backroom for a moment before coming out with a jar. With an overexaggerated struggle, he twisted the top off and wiped his brow as though he had just run a marathon. He drained a bit of the juice out so one could grab the tips of the green beans without getting their fingers too dirty and grabbed one out. Instead of eating it though, he held it out for Sabastian as though he wanted him to take a bite.

"Give me that..." The grumpy little man snatched it out of his hand and munched on it. Dave looked surprised, but that soon changed to a good-natured smile as though he was pleased that he was at least getting some food into his own stomach. Although, he looked just a bit worried as Sabastian continued to suck down his drink.

"You guys might to keep an eye on this one. He might end up dancing on a table with his eyepatch and his boxers having traded places." Dave chuckled lightly and turned reach into a cabinet. He pulled out a loaf of bread and sliced it, laying it out on a tray before buttering it up and sprinkling some minced garlic on it. It was popped into a toaster oven, the man leaning back against the opposite counter while he waited.

Damien recognized that the bartender was likely going to try to trick Sabastian into eating some so that it would soak up some of the booze and make things easier on his body. He wasn't complaining- he loved garlic bread and would likely snatch some up for himself too.

-----------------

She gave him a pleased smile when he complimented her name, reaching for her pina colada,

"Ah, I see... I supposed as much. It seems like everyone is just trying to hang on." The woman seemed deep in thought for a minute before she reached out and ran a finger down his guitar.

"That's a nice instrument. I bet it plays some pretty sweet music. Are you planning on playing later tonight at the party? I'd love to hear you play." Her blue eyes looked at him with interest.

She laughed at the bartenders antics, and she wished things were normal so she could have gave him a tip. He clearly enjoyed his job and he made her drink just right. When he brought out the jar of green beans, Cora got a bit excited.

"Are those pickled? Can I have a few for my drink?"

The garlic bread was starting to smell pretty damn good too, and she wandered where they could get some food. Later though, she could wait a moment, especially since she was really enjoying just sitting with everyone.

"Sabastian, what type of music you think they're going to play? You think they have their own equipment?"

She wanted to get his mind off the booze for a moment, but more than that, she was really looking forward to hanging out and partying with him, and Damien as well. She took a big bite of green bean, munching on it while she tried to think of what it was going to be like. She looked to the bartender then.

"Do they have their own equipment, do you know? I brought my phone and it's still got some juice left in it. If they have a cable to hook it up, I've got a pretty good variety of music."

___ ___

Vin gave her one of his toothy grins as she complimented him on his guitar, and seeing an opportunity, opened up the conversation to include his plans for the night.

"Well if they let me, I would love to. I actually came here with some new friends I met yesterday, but I think they're leaving tomorrow to go farther north. I was planning on relaxing and spending one last night hanging out with them before they move on."

He looked over to Cora then and pointed a finger at her.

"She's got a voice as sweet as honey mead, and I wanted to see if I couldn't get the little lady to sing one last duet with me. And then after I've had my night of fun and unwinding, I was going to look for some work. Maybe hang out here for a few days, if you all will have me?"

He took another sip of his beer, but he smiled over the bottle as he did so, meeting her sweet gaze with his own dark eyes.

"You can have as many of the pickled beans as you like, my brunette beauty. You can should try some too, handsome." He smiled invitingly at Damien who didn't know quite know how to respond to such friendliness from a total stranger.

"Hm. I don't know. Maybe they'll play-"

Sabastian narrowed his eyes, turned around and looked directly at Aurora before turning back around quickly. He hadn't seen Vin there and he was wondering who else he was smelling, another woman's aroused juices gracing his nose. The blonde man hadn't expected it to be her. That just made him feel a bit more bummed. It was a tough feeling when one felt like someone was moving on without you, and could really feel the sting of it.

"They're probably playing nonstop remixes of Wonderwall." He muttered.

Sabastian gulped down the rest of his drink and pushed it forward. "That was great. Let me get another of those." God he really wanted to be shitfaced. Maybe then he would stop feeling like such shit.

"No." The bartender said flatly, opening the oven and using some cute baby blue oven mitts to take it out of the oven. With a spatula, he moved the toasts to a plate and set it front of Sabastian. "Eat two of these and I might give you something with one shot in it. You need to slow down before you hurt yourself."

Dave smiled at Cora with a bit of concern and nodded. "Yeah, they have someone who DJ's so they could hook up your phone. The dude had a ton of songs saved on his laptop, so he won't run out any time soon. Lots of good party music I've heard. I think I also heard a rumor about a band playing at some point too."

----------------------------------

"Hm. Well they're going to have a tough time if anyone has been stamped with the same stamp you have." She reached out and turned over his arm, her fingers gently tracing over the ink of the I on his wrist. "They don't typically like letting anyone like that go and do everything they can to keep them inside. It's kind of weird, honestly."

She looked over to where he was pointing and her eyes appraised each of them in turn, looking Cora up and down before returning her gaze to Vin.

Aurora gave him a soft, flirty smile as her fingers continued to gently trace back and forth across his skin. "That certainly sounds like fun. Night's still a couple hours away, though. I play the flute myself, though it's a pity I don't have it with me. If you came back to my room, I could show you. I've been told that I have amazing breath support and very graceful fingers, so I'm sure you would enjoy yourself."

Cora watched as Sabastian suddenly turned and looked behind him, noticing Vin with the other women. Her face fell a bit and she took a long drink of her bloody mary. When she was done, she decided to try one last thing, and if it didn't work, she would leave him be.

"Hey,"

She wrapped her arm over his shoulders and gave him a small squeeze.

"We're somewhere safe tonight, with lots of people, and good drinks and good food. It might be a long time before we get to enjoy something like this again, so let's try and take advantage of it, ok? And when we're done here, I'm going to hit up a library and I'm going to study my little ass off, and maybe together we can learn something. How's that sound?"

___ ___

"Well they're going to have a tough time if anyone has been stamped with the same stamp you have."

Vin put his beer down and stared at her with a bit of a blank expression. His eyes then travelled down to the stamp on his hand and her fingers lightly tracing over it. He took a lesson from Cora and kept his face blank, but in his head he was panicking a bit. They could fuck right off if they thought they were going to keep him here. Although, they had weapons and guards and all he had was a guitar. He would have to think of something, some way to leave. Perhaps later if they needed scouts or something along those lines, he could volunteer.

He wasn't blind to the women's advances, but suddenly he didn't feel in the mood for her attentions anymore. However, he didn't want to be rude, and now that he knew they might want to try and force him to stay, he thought it best that he played nice with the women.

Looking back up at her, he met her flirty gaze with his own. He took his free hand and placed it atop the hand that she was lightly tracing his skin with, capturing it under his large palm and letting her feel his warmth.

"I would love to see you play that instrument darlin', but this big man has had a rough few days and next to no sleep. Give me one day to rest up and get a good night's rest, and I can promise you..."

He leaned forward then, bringing her hand up to his hard chest as he whispered in her ear.

"I will blow your mind..."

Leaning back slowly and releasing her hand, he finished the beer and gave her the most dashing smile he could muster.

"Thanks for the drink Aurora. I hope tomorrow you can show me around the base."

He gave her a little wink before standing up with his guitar and making his way over to the bar, choosing to stand on Damien's side as he gave them all a grin.

"Howdy friend," he said to the bartender.

"Do you still got any canned beer, or is it all bottles?"

He looked over his shoulder and gave Aurora a warm smile, trying to let her know he still had her on his mind, he just had some business to take care of first.

Sabastian felt her arm around him and he leaned over into her shoulder with a sigh. Usually he might have bristled, but the booze was hitting his empty stomach and he felt a bit drunk and sad, part of him glad for the physical affection. Damien joined her by reaching over and gently rubbing his back in a comforting manner. The little blonde man closed his eyes for a few moments as he listened to her, feeling a bit better.

"It won't matter by then... But you're right. Tonight we should just try to have fun and let off steam. I'll do my best to not let things get to me tonight, but I reserve the right to have the whole backseat to myself tomorrow." He gave her a little smile and put his arms around her, hugging her for a moment before sitting upright again and grabbing a slice of bread. The salty buttery taste of it was great, and he soon found himself consuming the piece of toast in short order.

The bartender looked a bit confused at what she said, but shook his head and smiled with gratitude.

---

The woman practically melted when he whispered in her ear, her hips squirming a bit as she looked at him lustfully. "I'll show you every inch of it." She purred back, looking him up and down again as he walked away.

As Vin came over, Damien removed his hand from Sabastian's back, not wanting it to be obvious that He was having a hard time. He returned Vin's grin with a smile of his own before taking a sip of his martini.

"Well hello there, mister. Canned beer? Um, well we mostly have bottles, but I'm pretty sure we have some cans in the back. Gimme a second." Dave smiled warmly and ducked into the back room.

Sabastian didn't look at Vin, drunkenly eating his piece of toast like a cute little hamster. He didn't want to look at him, as that would weaken his own resolve.

Cora gave him a smile, glad he was at least going to try and have some fun tonight. When Vin came over and decided to join them for a moment, she shot him a big grin as she let go of Sabastian.

"Hey there stranger, I heard they have their own band. I bet if you ask nicely they'll let you play with them."

Vin returned the grin, then gave Damien a conspiratorial smile.

"Oh yeah? Well I'll get up on stage if you do. I bet these soldiers could really use something to lift their spirits, and I bet a beautiful voice is just the thing that could do it."

Cora's grin dropped and her cheeks turned bright red.

"Oh god" she exclaimed, suddenly finding the bloody mary much more interesting.

"I couldn't do that..."

He let out a hardy laugh at the look on her face as she downed the rest of her drink.

"Ah come on. I bet Damien would love to see his little lady singing for him."

Damien listen and grinned at what he had mentioned. He could just imagine her onstage singing her heart out as the base watched. It seemed like something she would secretly enjoy very much. He took a sip of his martini again before saying, "you'd be great. With such a lovely voice, I'm sure it would help a lot of people feel more normal again, as though they were actually going to a real concert."

He reached over and grabbed a piece of toast, taking a bite of it as he looked at Cora hopefully. If there was one thing he wanted, it was for her to enjoy herself to the fullest too, and maybe singing would be exactly what she needed.

"I'm not saying you have to, but at least give it some thought. You seem so happy when you're singing, so I think it'd be fun."

Sabastian seemed to be silently listening before he joined in, "if you sing on stage, I'll sing with you or before you. I mean fuck it, right? There are fucking zombies running around, a performance can't be as scary as that, right? Besides, we're going to let loose tonight, aren't we?" He looked at her and smiled, trying to be cheer himself up while being supportive.

Her eyes met Damien's, her lips still perched on her empty glass as she held it with both hands. Her blush had deepened even further, but as she looked up into those steel eyes she couldn't help but melt a little.

It was true, she did love to sing, but more than anything, she loved to sing for someone. It was an act of love, and suddenly she realized, she wanted nothing more than to show her love to him.

"if you sing on stage, I'll sing with you..."

She sat her glass down on the counter as she looked over at Sabastian, a bit surprised at his offer. Then her gaze turns back down to her hands and she spins the empty drink around a few times.

"I think I'm going to have to order another bloody Mary. With an extra shot."

Delvin laughed again and clapped her on the back.

"That'a girl."

Cora smiled sheepishly, her eyes going back to Damien.

"Just a few songs...for you" she said softly.

His eyes went soft as he saw the blush on her cheeks. That adorable shade of pink was so cute on her, the perfect color to accent those gorgeous hazel eyes.

Sabastian put his hands in the air and waved them slightly. "Whew! Yes. More booze for everyone! I don't want to worry about a goddamn thing!" He wiggled his hands in the air a bit more, finding that he liked the sensation of it. He soon put them back down to grab his toast again, though.

When she said that she would be singing for him, his heart skipped a beat and he looked at her with adoration and excitement. He remembered when she had sang for him at the back of the cabin, the song in the car also being an emotionally charged song. He wanted to hear more joy in her voice, more hope and love. It tickled him pink that she wanted to do that for him, though. No one had ever cared enough to dedicate a song to him.

"I... I would like that very much," he replied softly, looking into her eyes.

Dave came out from the back room wit two cans. "So, I have some pale ale, and I have a stout. What'll it be?" He set both of them on the counter, noticing that Sabastian seemed in better spirits. He grinned and poured him an orange juice, putting the most ridiculous swirly straw in it for him.

Sabastian raised his eyebrow. "Does this have booze in it?"

"Of course it does." Dave replied innocently, knowing full well it didn't, but also that it was difficult to tell with orange juice if one was already drunk.

The blonde shrugged and sipped on the straw, watching it loop through the loops with interest. Dave seemed to watch him as well with a soft smile.

Cora scooted her seat a bit closer to him and leaned into his side as she took her own piece of toast and munched on it. She did plan on having that second bloody mary, but she didn't want it hitting her too fast or too hard.

When the bartender came back out, Vin took both the beers and gave them each a once over.

"Hm... You know, if it's alright with you, I'll take them both. One for now, and one to take with me as I go find that band you were talkin about; see if they need an extra guitarist."

He turned to his side and put the pale ale in the inside of the cover for his guitar, not really having the room for it his pants pockets. Then he turned back and cracked open the stout, chugging about half of it before sitting it back down and letting loose a loud belch.

Cora just grinned and shook her head. Then she seemed to get a bit of an excited look in her eye. She leaned forward on the bar then and started looking at the assortment of drinks.

"Would you mind if I made a custom drink?"

She gave the bartender one of her pretty smiles, trying her hand at charming him a bit, as she knew her drink was going to be a little complicated and pretty heavy on the booze. However, it was really tasty and something she could sip on for a few hours without needing anything else.

Damien put his hand around her waist, enjoying the warmth of her body. Leaning toward her, he took a bite out of the side of her toast and chewed with a playful smile while pretending not to have done anything.

The bartender watched him put the beer away and shrugged at Vin, "sure I don't mind you taking one for the road. It might be warm by the time you drink it later with this heat, though."

He chuckled at the loud burp, putting the empty the toast tray in the little sink before turning to Cora at her request.

"Hmmm..." Dave crossed arms and raised her eyebrow at her, a small smirk on his lips as he saw her smile. "Your womanly charms don't work on me, missy. Buuut, I'm feeling in a generous mood, so I'll let you behind the counter on the condition that I get to taste your drink when you're done. You don't strike me as someone who would be too out of control, so you can go heavier on the booze if you want."

"H-hey!"

She pulled her toast away and gave him a little nip on his shoulder.

"My toast."

When the bartender said her charms wouldn't work on him, it only made her grin all the more playful. However, when he said she could come behind the counter, she wasn't sure if he actually meant it literally.

"Wait, like, actually come back there and make it? I don't exactly have bartender flair..." she blushed. She got up but hesitated to actually go around the bar, still not sure if he had actually meant for her to physically come back there.

Dave walked over to the swinging door at the side of the bar, pausing for a moment as he heard her hesitation. His face turned to her a bit confused before he broke out in a loud, merry laugh. When he was done, he wiped a tear from his eye and said, “well dang. Does anyone have a breathalyzer here, because I think I’m the one who must be wasted. I thought you wanted to physically make it yourself, but you meant for me to make your custom order! Whew!”

He laughed again and held his sides. “And I call myself a bartender!”

His laugh was infectious and Damien couldn’t help but grin, sabastian letting out a little snicker himself.
