That it is possible to buy political influence with money, in particular to influence elections with money. This produces plutocracy -- a system in which the rich have political power far out of proportion to their numbers.

What can we do about THAT?!

Working class voters need to realize that
1) The greed of the oligarchs is endless. They will screw you then shoot your dog.
Transgender bathrooms or athletes -- have u seen either one with your own eyes? -- are shiny distractions. Working families without health insurance, that you've seen!
2) Stop with FoxNews (not journalism), all the emotion and especially anger. THEY ARE OUT TO TAKE AMERICA AWAY FROM YOUR KIDS. Keep your head in the game
3) Elections important. Campaigns important. At least 1 hr per week on serious learning about what's going on. Is that too much for your grandkids?

Douglas Adams:
The major problem—one of the major problems, for there are several—one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them.
To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it.
To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.
To summarize the summary of the summary: people are a problem.
And so this is the situation we find: a succession of Presidents who so much enjoy the fun and palaver of being in power that they very rarely notice that they’re not. And somewhere in the shadows behind them—who? Who can possibly rule if no one who wants to do it can be allowed to?

Yes, Democrat involvement and implementation.

You're looking at the wrong end of the process. The problem is not that pols stay in office too long, it is that they cannot get INTO office if the plutocracy disapproves.
Take away the "cash cow" incentive and that won't be a problem. :)

What America needs to do is break away from this entrenched two party system . We need a credible 3rd party. Doing so would put a choke on corporate political manipulation.

That is a real but an entirely different problem. It exists mainly because we use a single-member district system to elect representatives, and that tends naturally to freeze out third parties. Proportional representation would make a multiparty system viable.

Well, people could stop acting like assholes every now and then.

so you admit that democrats are ignorant and can be bought

All parties are the same in THAT regard.

But the problem here is not that it is possible to buy voters. The problem is that it is possible to buy a place on the ballot.
