On a serious note I have found the score of some lesser known movies work fairly well in the writing process. Of course you don't want to use any score that you know by heart or associate with a movie, unless it is a scene that helps... fuck it, do what you want.

I just can't put the Star Wars and Harry Potter music in the list because my mind puts them with those movies/stories. Alas, I am a nerd... or is it a geek?
