Musketeer Immortal (closed)

She slept deeply there curled up by him. Her dreams were now more them speaking in the coffee shop and the old carousel it was a safe moment in time with him as she smiled even in her sleep. Slowly some whimpers fell from her and her sleep gained some twitches and twists as if trying to pull away from someone but nothing that woke her with nightmares .

He held her in his arms as she slept, easing her by stroking her hair as she whimpered and twitched in her sleep. He kept his vigil, hoping for his presence to keep her calm.

Just before sunrise Aramis returned and spoke with Athos before retiring to his daylight slumber. Athos gently tapped on the door to her room finding Porthos room empty. She slowly woke feeling someone there with her and recoiled a little till she saw it was Porthos.

Morning... seems someone is here

"Yes, it will be one of my brothers."

He slipped out of the bed and moved closer to the door, opening it to allow Athos entry.

"We are all decent brother. What seems to be the problem that you are looking for me this early?"

Passing along Arimis findings. Lord Damon's "fearing something has happened to his beloved friend" has hired every cut throat and darkness in half of Paris. Arimis of course joined those assembled to be hired he and the sister have disposed of many that could not be reasoned with. We have descriptions of the others to keep en eye out for.

Porthos nodded and ran his fingers over his jaw

"What do you think brother? Should we deliver the body of his beloved friend to him? But I think we should not, not yet. We should do so when we all visit him to bring an end to his vile reign of terror over Katherine and to end his villainous ideas for the people of this world."

Porthos we will end this vile mortal. I see it in your eyes you wish to be the one to do so. It will be but we need to discuss this more. Whenever you two are ready to join the rest of us in Arimis room then do so.

He just smiled to his brother and walked away from the door to seek food. He had never seen Porthos like this over a woman. They had each he and Arimis had that one woman to change their lives for better or worse now it seemed Porthos had found his and perhaps purpose once more.

He gave his brother in arms a grin

"In fact Athos, I don't care who does it. But you are right, I would like to be the one."

He watched as Athos left and turned to face Katherina, closing the door behind himself.

"Would you come along with us when we discuss our plans for the coming campaign?"

He must suspect that I am dead or now wants me dead. Yes I will.

Standing she smiled to him before pointing out the door.

Celeste said that there were clothes here for me so out I need to get ready.

He grinned at her

"Perhaps I should stay, you can not go wrong by having my input when you choose a wardrobe."

He chuckled and left, pulling the door close behind him. He stretched out and yawned, then walked to the kitchen, where the promise of good coffee and bacon wafted upstairs.

She walked downstairs in a soft floral dress as Celeste smiled to her.

I do hope you like what was placed there for you. We will shop to our hearts content when our boys are done with this vermin issue in our fair city.

They are lovely.

She had tried to cover as much of her past as she could as she looked to Porthos.

Porthos watched her as he ate his breakfast and drank the strong coffee that Celeste had made, knowing that he would need the energy. Immortal or not, his body still had many of it's mortal traits.

"And deal with the vermin we shall. We will go to Aramis as soon as we are done with breakfast. I am sure he has some sort of plan already in that scheming mind of his."

Aramis has plans of conducting his funeral.

Athos smirked.

Celeste just sat listening watching any reactions from Katerina. Katerina sat listening and eating quickly finishing her food out of habit.

He chuckled at the irony

"That our brother who is now believed to be soulless wants to read him his last rites. As long as we keep him in the shadows or have the funeral at night, we can give our brother his wish."

He shook his head and poured himself another coffee, taking a sip of it as he also looked at Katerine.

Katerina was not sure how to react or think. Her own freedom and risk of death were beginning to catch up to her mind. How many had he hired to hunt and possibly kill her or whatever. If all of this works how will she handle freedom and so far from her people and home. Would she stay here with them or what would happen.

It should be interesting to see.

She finally spoke with all of the eyes on her.

Porthos drank his coffee and looked pensively at her as she spoke, wondering if it was a good idea for her to witness the deaths which was surely to happen. But then again, he also knew that no matter how petite and innocent she may look, she was not a fragile young woman. He got to his feet,

"Let's go, the sooner we have a plan in place, the better."

Athos nodded.

Yes before he truly falls into his death like sleep.

She stood with them and moved to Porthos and smiled with a soft thank you for his staying with her through the night.

Aramis sat there sharpening the knife that was normally concealed in the cross he once carried him long ago. Lifting his head as they knocked.

Enter... the plan can be quite simple with a floor plan of the old house she and Damon's call home.

Porthos sprawled down on a chair, resting his head against his hand.

"That I can get easily brother. What is your plan once you know what passages and rooms there are in the house? Sneak in and drink his blood in the dark of night?"

Something a little more liberating for someone.

He looked to Katerina.

It is long overdue for him to learn that messing with a witch is a bad idea don't you?

Katerina raised a brow apprehensive about what he meant.

Let him see his death in your eyes and by your hand. My brothers and I... we will just be the distractions until it is too late and you have ended him.

Athos smiled but held reservation if she could do it.

If you are unable to the honor will fall to Porthos. You will see no harm in Aramis showy and lesson teaching plan.

Porthos looked at Katerina, he had seen the fear that she held for the now dead body guard and this Damon.

"Would you want to? Or should I ask, do you think that you could?"

I... I do not know. You will all be there yes?

Aramis and Athos nodded Celeste cleared her throat from the doorway where she stood with two wolves.

The sisters will be there as well. Were the rat to run away from you and the boys. If it is any aid they believe you have the power to do so deep down even if you can not feel it right now. They have told me that witches often have more power than they think.

With that the two wolves walked away and out of the inn to take up their hiding place to nap and watch the house for the day.

"The problem is not if she has the power. I have the power, Athos has the power, Aramis has the power. The street urchin has the power. The problem is that we were soldiers, we are known to be able to kill. We were soldiers, we were trained for it and that is what we did. Katerina is not trained to be a killer and you know that.""

Celeste nodded but also sighed.

So what she is just to be bait or truly be able to free herself with the backing of and love of the Musketeers?

Athos could as always see both sides.

She will he armed Aramis standing beside her as he will be the one who allegedly will have brought her back and we will slip in behind him ready to kill as well.

Porthos shook his head

"Not to be bait unless that is what she wants to be."

He turned to Katerina

"It is all up to you beau oiseau, do you feel that you can harm this Damon, this monstre, who had dominated and hurt you so much?"

She looked to Porthos eyes. Her own showing she wanted to be as strong as they seemed to think but also her fear.

I... I do not know.
