Musketeer Immortal (closed)

Porthos finished with his shower and got dressed
He was not sure why it felt like he was preparing for a final battle, like the future of the world hung in the balance.
Of course, he had been in many battles with his brothers before and some of them threatened to start a war that could lead to many deaths.
Sometimes they were unsuccessful and war did happen, but most of the time they succeeded. He just hoped that this time was one of those times where they will succeed.

Aramis and Katerina prepared their act. Athos resided weapons and they waited for Porthos.

We will go on ahead.

Aramis nodded as he and Katarina walked from the building.

Porthos came out and joined Athos, the two of them preparing additional weapons, setting them into large duffel bags

"Don't want to miss the party." Athos remarked

Porthos slung one bag over his shoulder, "Let us go then."

The two of them slipped out into the gathering dark

Walking along with Aramis their act in place with his grip on her arm as he pounded on the door. Lord Damons opened the door and seeing his witch and one of his hunter hires he smiled. Quickly hurrying them both inside.

Finally back home where you should be. Now I will deal with you later Katerina. To your room, you have work to do.

It was clear he was close to striking her but seemed to think better of it in front of Aramis. Nodding she moved from the main room to the back hallway and to her room opening the window of her room for them to climb in. Athos nodded to her as they stepped through the window hearing Aramis argue money with LOrd Damons and the clear poorly veiled fear in Damon's voice.

Porthos and Athos slipped onto the estate, silently making their way towards the house. As per the arrangement, they found the window open which meant no alarm to bypass. Athos went up first as he usually did, being the unspoken leader of the group. Porthos followed, finding Athos standing ready at the door, carefully looking for movement.

Porthos went up to Katarina and gave her a long, passionate kiss, then he placed the bag on her bed and removed the weapons from them, loading up on ammunition as well. He gave Athos a silent nod, Athos spoke into the radio connection with Aramis, confirming that they were in position and ready.

Aramis demanded more money due to whom he had to fight to acquire her as Lord Damons became both irate and fearful but did not know why this man scared him. Finally Damons agreed threw the money to him and Aramis was on his way out with Damons headed their way none the wiser that he had intruders.

No guards were coming up the stairs, no alarm had been sounded. Porthos hid behind a dresser, his weapon ready. Athos had taken up a position behind the door. They knew that Damons would enter the room as that was what they had come to know of the man. He expected his word to be followed and he had told Katarina to go to her room to prepare.

She stood at the alter tending to her spellwork tensing when she heard him walk into the room but did not turn from her task.

You are home... Safe... End our enemies...NO MORE EXCUSES!

He stormed closer to her as the rage poured off of him.

Porthos waited for the right moment, the moment that Damon's attention was solely on Katharina, he pulled the trigger, and with a soft "thwup" sound, the dart appeared in Damon's neck. He carried on for a few more steps, then realized that something was wrong. He plucked the dart from his neck and with an animalistic growl, he went for Katharina.

Porthos pulled the trigger three more times and the man fell to the ground, his fingertips brushing against the skirt of her dress as he went down. Porthos stepped from his concealment and walked over to the man who was sliding away into unconsciousness.

Athos stepped out from his hiding spot, "You didn't kill him."

Porthos grinned and shook his head, "No. I did not. If she wants it, then Katharina can decide what happens to him and if she can't, I will end it."

She winced seeing him reaching for her. The fear was palpable around her, till he fell and she once more saw Porthos there hugging him close. Athos nodded at his brother's words.

We already have a plan to explain off death or... missing person if need be. However yes she suffered under this vermin she should make that ruling. Whether let the courts of mortals deal with him or another person who simply chose to explore the Paris Underground and was never seen again.

"If she does decide to let the authorities handle him, she will have to be at his trial, she will be asked penetrating questions and I bet they will dig as far as they can to make her an untrustworthy witness."

He rubbed her back gently, "What do you wish to do with this monster ma fleur?"

I... I don't know. They should all know what he wanted to do to restart that horrible war but should we really let someone like him give some ill found hope that it could be done. Plus since he didn't really do anything they might release him.

She looked to Porthos niting her lip unsure.

Porthos gave her a grim smile

"You can always hand him over for justice to the sisters, they have ways to make him talk without involving the authorities."

Athos looked out of the door, "We will have to decide quickly, I hear people coming up the stairs."

Porthos looked at Katharina

She nodded at the suggestion of the sisters.

Let's go.

Athos quickly closed and locked the door, Porthos took out a set of handcuffs and secured Damon's wrists, stuffing a gag into his mouth and securing it with a piece of rope.

In quick fashion, the two men managed to lower the unconscious man out of the window and Athos followed him down. Porthos turned to her and smiled, "Now that I have you alone in your room, we both have to leave through the window. The injustice of it all."

He gave her a wink and quickly slipped out of the window

She smiled at Porthos teasing and climbed out of the window with them.

Let's get out of here.

Carrying the slumped form of Damon the two men led the way, escaping from the estate without being seen. Aramis joins them and after a quick explanation, he takes the man over his shoulder and the four of them go silently into the night.

A few hours later Porthos knocks on a door and after a few minutes, one of the sisters opens it, peering out at them.

"Porthos? What is it, child?"

"We bring a person for judgement and punishment."

She looks at him for a moment then nods

"Take him to the back, I will call the others."

The door closes and Porthos motions his two brothers to go to the back, he step up to Katharina

"You don't have to witness this if you don't want to."

If you are going I will go too.

She had barely moved far from his side while Damons was with them. Even unconscious that man terrified her.

He stroked over her cheek, leaning in to kiss her forehead softly

"You will never have to fear him again, after tonight, when all his sins are laid bare and he receives his punishment, you will be free of him."

He took her hand and walked with her around the house to the back.

She walked with them only to find herself clearly protected from everyone as two wolves moved to stand on either side of her even keeping point between Porthos and Katerina. Athos motioned to her that it was alright as he looked to the sisters.

I do not think guards will be necessary Porthos is more than willing to protect her with his immortal life just as we Aramis and myself.

One of the sisters growled and one wolf walked from.her side to flankntheirbentire party.

Porthos smiled at the wolf

"It is a testament to your love for her and I appreciate how it shows"

They came to what appeared to be a natural clearing between the trees, Damon already there, on his knees, with Aramis standing over him. Porthos made certain that he was between this man and Katharina, ready to protect her from him, he also knew that the guardian wood will warn them if any other approached.

The wolves and gypsies had always been allies and they could now protect one that was all that mattered. Damon's was awakened to find himself bound kneeling before the sisters who sneered at him. One calm and cold and the other looking as if ahe waited simply for one wrong move to wipe him from this mortal coil in the most brutal way possible. Behind them he saw Katerina and growled.

Porthos rested an arm around Katerina, whispering in her ear

"Pay him no heed, you are protected by all here. We will all gladly give our lives before we allow him to ever hurt you again."

He kissed her cheek and gave Damon's a cold glare

The elder walked up asking what the crimes were. She explained what she had been asked to do and the abuses she had suffered at his hands. Athos moved to Aramis's side seeing his brother's rage grow with her words.

Aramis calm I cannot take on both of you. Katrina hold Porthos still. Stay at her side brother she is of more need of you than ending him at this news.

The bear growled backing Athos.

Normally the affairs of humans are not our concern but the harm was done to a witch and gypsy we will intervene and deal with the human... This time.

Marie stepped forward filling in what Katherine had left out before looking back to the young woman.

I am a mind which you can not hide things from me child not will I let you hide these things from them.

Turning back to the bear.

My only recommendation is let our Musketeers end him.

Porthos listened in quiet fury as all the deeds of Damon's were laid to bare. He did not fear the bear, but he knew that in this court, he was much more a guest than part of the hearing.

He ran a gentle hand up and down Katherina's back, not willing to look at the man who had not only harmed this beautiful creature, but who was of a mind to destroy mankind and rule over what remained.
