My beer adventure...

za zdorovie!

Is this one of those sanctions against Russia? Making a Russian company buy Pabst?

IMO, Sierra Nevada offers some really high quality beers at relatively affordable prices. They've been based in Chico, California, but recently opened a brewery in North Carolina to more efficiently serve the Eastern part of the country. At this time of year, with my frigid winter nights, Narwhal Imperial Stout by the fire is heaven.

Picking up some of this, tomorrow:

Bourbon barrel-aged Old Stock is said to be the milk bath that Cleopatra bathed in. Layers of luxurious decadence are cloaked in an opaque brown skin with ruby highlights. Warming bourbon melds with rich, silky malts. This might just be one of the surest ways that we lowly humans can have a brush with the divine.

And drinking it, tonight.

Yummmmmmmmm.......

On my bucket list is to brew some, but I don't even know enough about what I like to aim to make such a thing. More drinking is required, I think.

There are five and a half "Occulto" beers in the fridge. The roommate was less than impressed. He hasn't much of a palate though. They will probably sit until someone gives them to a visitor.

The beer is somehow stored/fermented/something in reclaimed Tequila casks. Seems silly. Tequila is basically paint thinner.

You had me at beer ... I was born in Santa Monica ... I like the Yard House, Hollings Head (every beer is about 10%) ... so fucking good.

Goat Hill Tavern is a spot.

i really don't drink beer anymore, because it messes with my gut. the beer farts are horrendous, and i get stomach cramps. i do like my wine and liquors. as long as i don't overindulge, i can go another day. anyways. last weekend i drank two bud light limes (?) and got tipsy. good lord. varied volume speech tipsy. that's my beer adventure.
