My first adult date (I’m 44)

Maybe this isn’t the place for this- or maybe there is no place for this, but I got married very young, stayed married for 20 years, but got divorced in October.

I finally decided to begin dating, and I’m meeting a man for a happy hour drink this evening. I have no idea how this goes, what would be considered a “good” date, or even if I want to like the first man I “date”.

Anyways- maybe I’ll update how it goes.

No- that was made many years ago, we just stayed together until our daughter went to college. Honestly- a very adult mature divorce, I wish him well and we still talk regularly (about our daughter)

That's one of the weirdest things that I have come to find out about women. Everything that I was told growing up, BY WOMEN, trained me to disappoint women romantically. Learning to ignore what I was told has helped me tremendously.

The most extreme example I saw was this one nice straight laced guy, his marriage was on the rocks, she was tearing into him publicly, all kinds of things. One of the old boys said 'you need to grab her by the hair, drag her into the bedroom, put her face down, ass up and go to town.' this dude was mortified, said that she would be FURIOUS and divorce him, he couldn't do it. Two weeks later his wife was fawning over him and treating him like a king. Turns out that she said something one nigh and he snapped an took her roughly. That's what she wanted the whole time and never told him, last I heard they were still going strong. Crazy world.

Ok- I MAY have played up a little how sore my boobs were, I mean he nibbled them so and there was one small red mark the next morning- it was fun mostly over the clothes stuff

Also sex was not an issue in my marriage- it eventually ended but mainly just we weren’t into each other anymore.

The next woman who is with him won’t be disappointed (unless she hates facials)
