It might be a good idea anyway. We all burn out at times, or other things that render us unable or unwilling to write. I see it as being a donor. You're not a donor unless you say so (this was changed in my country, where everyone is now a donor unless otherwise specified). This way there's some clarity what can happen.

If the site owners are willing, maybe a toggle to allow people to use your stories globally, per story/series, or whitelist certain people globally/per story.

There's probably a lot more pressing maintenance and quality of life updates, but one can suggest solutions regardless.
