I totally could have blown work off to go to that Billy Bragg thing in LA tonight. I get to work and my coworker who never called me back to tell if she she would stay after her shift to cover mine, tells me she was willing to do it. Well, thanks for calling me back. I couldn't exactly take off. I had told them a different reason for my needing to be in LA. I'll get over it. My friend is dragging me out to a bar tonight. That will cheer me up even though I don't drink. At least I met him last night. That makes up for it. I should call the other guy who originally told me about it and let him know I'm not going. It would be polite I suppose.

Also... the 5th and 6th pages of this thread are amazing. Reading them was like watching someone try to chop down a tree with a butter knife.
