ha ha. Totally looks like I set myself up for that one on purpose. I didn't. I swear. The weater is just horrible. You can't possibly blame me for that, can you? ;) Not when I would rather sit on in the rain than sit out in the sun?

Ya, that was sort of a gimme . . but I still prefer sun over rain, even snow over rain.

I just don't like the rain! But with you around, I could handle anything . . . I'm sure you could distract me!

Ponyo's a definite, might check that out this coming Sunday. I love Miyazaki's films. In fact, that joint would be one of the few that would pull my eyes off of your body! :D

As far as next month is concerned, I'm a little intrigued about Surrogates and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs.

I love his films too.

I don't know about those ones. I'll sneak into them. Surrogates can go either way. Either be pretty good or make me want to scratch my eyes out. :)

I really want to see Cold Souls, which is out now. I've just been too busy to get over to see it.

I'm thinking, since Bruce Willis is in Surrogates, it may be subversive enough to be entertaining, even if it isn't as gritty as it should be. Usually September is a dumping ground for "almost-quite-there" sci-fi or action films that didn't have enough moxie to be released during the summertime. I'm still disappointed in the halfway mess that was Shoot 'Em Up.

I almost forgot about Cold Souls. I've been lax in viewing my indie summer fare.

Shoot 'Em Up was fun though. Love Paul in anything. Seemed like they had a blast making it.

The fun was evident, but the movie overall should've been tighter. I really liked the premise and design of it. It started off great, then seemed to lose steam and coherence after the first half, then became really sloppy towards the end, as if they didn't know how to wrap it up and ad-libbed it. Plus, it didn't punch hard enough for an R-rated movie, IMO. The sex scene was pretty silly. If you're going to use body doubles, then you might's well show titty and ass. A different director and a re-write would've made that on the level of a classic John-Woo Hard-Boiled type-vibe.

Now, a superb balance of violence and humor is Inglourious Basterds. If you have not seen that, go see it, quickly.

Ha ha. Yes, I have seen Inglourious Basterds. Mentioned it earlier in this thread. I loved it. Even took my mom to see it. She loved it as well.

I don't consider myself to be all that tall. Most of my friends are around my height. It only becomes apparent when I'm at concerts and tons of short girls are running about trying to find a place where they can see.

Well, being a guy, and 5'6", your 5'10" is awesome!

And damn, good show on learning with the steels! I have actually played both. My best on for a 301 was a 5T8 with a 5 Bull out as my best on a Cricket game.

Well I did get the wall a few times. And I got a bullseye my first game and my elation was crush when good ol'Danny Boy informed me that it wasn't a good thing. Always is for me though. I was thrilled. Of course, the next throw I hit the wall but whatever. :)

The bullseye not being a good thing? Hmmm.....ok, a double bull will get you on in 301/501, and if you are playing cricket, you need 3 bulls to close them. So, not sure what game he was referring to where the bull was not a good thing.
