The top egg was brined in soy sauce. The bottom, sweat tea. The color imparted by the tea is beautiful.

I mean, it doesn’t turn it into a Cadbury crème egg or anything. But these are going into ramen so the slight sweetness plays against the saltiness of the broth and the umami of the mushrooms.
