My "Waiting for Her" Thread

Seven days

Seven days from tonight, and I will feel her skin, breathe her essence, taste her soul.

I can't remember when I have felt this giddy, this excited.

She really is a special woman. She is my queen, and I will treat her as such.

For you, my sweetheart:

This is lovely to read.

Best wishes to you both.

Politics, religion, semantics on the values of literature . . . we see a lot in this forum. I truly do love to see the play of it all, even if I do not always post.

This thread is about the most important things in life. Warmth. Comfort. The knowledge that there is someone who wants to be with you, someone who sees something in you that you, yourself, may not. It is about acceptance, about patience and understanding. Basic tenets that could be applied to any human endeavor.

There is a woman in my life. A very special woman. We both have our pasts, we have our pains and tragedies. Between the two of us, I think, we could just about write the whole of human experience.

I am here to say that I accept her, and hope she accepts me. That, together, we will learn all we can about one another, and when all is revealed, we will understand it and move on. Grow together.

She is the woman I am waiting for. I am glad that she is real, and that we will be together again soon.

Congrats to you and yours. You give the rest of us hope for a happiness such as this. :rose:

It's only a chance, albeit a good one, but just a chance.

Sometimes, I think the chance is enough. Although obviously, I hope for more.

It's just seventy-two hours away.

My sweetheart, the woman for whom I wait, will be here this Friday night. I'm all but bouncing in anticipation.

To see her, touch her, kiss her, smell her, taste her . . . .

I really can't wait. I can just imagine the moment in which we meet again. That first deep, meaningful kiss. The feel, the heat, the comfort of her body against mine. The way she whispers my name.

I keep telling her I want to drag her into a bathroom at the airport. That time of night . . . there shouldn't be too many people around, I figure.

Damn. I want her so much.

By the end of this week, Mark and I will be moved in together. If I put the money worries out of my mind, I can't wait. I've wanted this for two and a half years and I can't believe its happening.

But then the money stuff comes back and my brain loses some of the optimism. We've had to put the wedding on hold (indefinately) until we can afford it - right now we don't have 2p to rub together.

But isn't the most important thing is that you and Mark will be together?

Marriage can sometimes be a technicality. A way of affirming the way you feel. The most important thing, I feel, is simply being together. Sharing time.

Good luck to you both.
