Well of course China will intervene -hell if they could they would swallow up North Korea AND South Korea...tho I would say if they tried to on the South side, there would be an all out war.

why should China intervene it is not interested in any thing to do with north K its interests is to make the US sell more arms so that there is more arms sale for her(China) as well and more debt for the US

I mean, if they could just magically take over, sure, but there would be a ton of negative consequences to the Chinese economy....and the Chinese gov't is fixated on the magic 8% growth rate in GDP. A war would probably make it harder to get the magic number. Besides, if they lose world trade (which they would) that country would implode in about...a month? And I'm being generous here.

China wants NK to be nice and fucking quiet- they tolerate NK's annoyance of the US, 'cause it gives them plausible deniability, however, in no way shape or form will they tolerate a war on their Southern border. They came South of the Yalu once already...

I see that point but also at the same time, think about how Taiwan operated independently of China, and now China has sovereign power over Taiwan -although it's about 75 miles away from mainland China...and a shot was never fired as China took over Taiwan. Realistically could China take over N Korea, I think they could, and I don't know that N Korea would react if they did so thinking more man power to fight S. Korea... just my thoughts (thinking outside the box...)

It's not gonna do them any good to own you, or anybody else, as long as 800 million peasants are still living in shit out West in China. Those peasants need to believe that their future is bright and that they too will get to live it up like the people in Shanghai do. Otherwise, the mother of all revolutions is gonna sweep through China, putting an end to (the current form of) the Chinese Communist Party...which the CCP desperately wants to avoid.

A war would disrupt some of the world's most active trade routes, which would fuck up China's trade, making a lot of Chinese workers protest in the streets. Again, it's something they wanna avoid.
