I'm not so sure you can encourage it. I think part of the spontanaeity is a distinct part of the scenario of just being taken. I guess you could play out scenarios in your head as to how you'd react or maybe even give one another cues so you don't level him out of mistaken intent!

I almost liken this scenario to a surprise birthday party. By you knowing it's going to be a surprise party, doesn't that take away the spark a little bit? I'd just roll along with it; expect nothing and when/ if it does happen... ENJOY IT!!!
