I LEARNED HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE CHILI!

^____________^!

Homemade chili is fun. I might make some again, although I have found that "Just barely tolerable" spicy-wise for my family is "I can almost taste the spicy" for me.

One of these days, I want to make one of those big pots of chili that you have to stir with a big stick. :D

Arg, bought a Polaroid Sprintscan 35 from eBay. Hooked everything up, but I can't get the scanner to talk to the computer. Much angst. Anybody here have experience with getting SCSI hardware working in XP?

Did you try going into the control panel and going from there? I mean, when my computer couldn't automatically detect my Kodak camera dock (I don't have a scanner) I went into the control panel, then to Scanners and Cameras and then clicked on "add an imaging device" task on the left and it searched for me.

Eh, got it working now. Turns out I just needed to find the APSI drivers for my SCSI card, because while Windows THOUGHT it had installed it properly, it was evidentally mistaken.

Still, this thing works like a charm. Much to my amusement, it even comes with a spare bulb for the scanner! :D

Coolies... When I installed mine, it said it did everything, but then it put the drivers in some weird directory on the third drive, so it couldn't find them amongst all the music and anime files. I had to search backwards through the CP to find them.

Ok, since we're talking tech here this might be the best place/time for this. See, I'm at home, and my dad got this new AT&T/Yahoo high speed internet. Our computers are connected via a network, but the family computer is the only one that can connect to the internet. It wont accept my computer for some reason. Can anyone help me?

what type of network?
modem to a router?
or modem to a switch?

if its to a switch you need a router in there and will have to re-register the MAC(router's address) with yahoo, if they still register the MAC that is

if its a router
power cycle it

I have no idea. I guess I should ask my dad. Kinda sucks that I can't exactly bring him on here to talk about it. He's at work now anyway.

I'm sure my dad has it around here somewhere.
forgot to mention
only applies if you're using the wireless part of it to get online
if you plug into it you dont need the key

if it still doesn't work try this on your computer
you'll lose connectivity for a sec but it might fix it

start -> run
cmd.exe
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns

in that order
