I'm doubling, again, today.
Massive suckage.

The Subway I work at is open from 9 am to 10 pm.
Open seven days a week.
Every day, it takes two to three people to man it adequetly.
Open 13 hours a day, doubled because of two on shift.
Times seven days a week...
Grand total of 182 man hours a week.

Now, that wouldn't be so bad if we were staffed properly.
Alas, we only have 4 workers right now.

That's about 46 hours, each worker, each week.

Of course, full time work wouldn't be so bad, if I weren't also a full time student.
*Sigh*

And to think, I turned down service for this...

You work too much. Don't let it kill you. I'd imagine it's the store manager's job to hire new people. If he's not doing it, its not your job to cover his ass and work more than you should especially with school. Tell him to fill the open positions pronto or you'll walk.

Gunny is a type of sergeant in the Marines, I think.

Its above Staff Sergeant, but is below First Sergeant and Master Sergeant. There is another rank, Gunnery Master Sergeant, that is analogous to Sergeant Major.

I don't think it's a hard and fast rule anymore, but when the military reorganized ranks in the last '50's they included the Gunnery designation to provide a rank that signified that the solider was technically proficient in some area, ie gunnery, and thus seperated them from the staff sergeants who lead squads and what not.

Gunny's are generally pretty large and intimidating people even as far as Marines go they demand the respent of there rank and get it usually
