I fel the need to say something.

I am presently seated in one of my favorite sushi joints enjoying the sushi goodness until a party came in and sat across from me.

They are youngish 18-20's, college kids in 80 jeans and stylishly worn vintage t's. Their hair is that rakish bed head style that mocks convention and says "look at me for I am different." In the same way an ad for A&F ad does.

What amused me most was the conversation. They are full of the sort liberall rabid enthusiasm so many in that age range are. They were vocally antimilitary, felt proud to say they had once attended a jewish church...yes 'church', had no debt because mom and dad bought the condo they are living in and the car they are driving and the tuition for school.

So I look at these people and wonder how they can possibly form a world view when they have no world expierence? Its audacity and arrogance on a level that actually made me angry.

So it can offically be said that I am old.

This is a sad sad day.

Halfwits.
Worthless, blue blooded, no life halfwits.

'I'm Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you!'
'You're who?'

(and you're not a half-wit)

http://www.kyozoku.com/pixelface/artemis.gif Okay so I'm not. ^-^" But just with Squirtum explaining how rich we youngin's are cuz we are "spoiled", made me think that prehaps I am. I worked quite hard to where I am today, and trust me, my life hasn't been peaches and cream. But I do feel spoiled cuz I keep getting money from the goverment here (long story as to why, also personal). But we youngin's need to appreciate what we get and not just throw it around. And I DEFFINATELY do not dress like a hippie! lol.

No, you're not a halfwit, because you are self aware.
Even if you've never had to work a day in your life, as long as you know and understand that status isn't normal, and you appreciate it.

I'll bet you don't take that gov check for granted, do you?
Nor do you whine that it isn't more.

 Plus, you hang around with us losers!

Plenty of rich corporations get money from the Government. You're in good company there! Heck, I'd rather pay taxes to give money to people like you who'll go out and spend it locally, than corporations who use it to invest outside the country!

You already proved you are not the type I am refereing to but let me clarify my feelings so they are more easily understood.

I know the passion of the teen years and how easily one gets swept up into things but it is allowing oneself to be swpet up in the beliefe that you trutly know what's going on when you simply don'tYou already proved you are not the type I am referring to but let me clarify my feelings so they are more easily understood.

These kids were fresh out of more then likely private schools with a well funded life where they had never wanted for anything in a monetary way. This is not to say they had all of their emotional needs met because I do not know them well enough to make such claims.

Fact of the matter was, at that moment, they were eating $8-10 sushi rolls and complaining about the political spending of the country not helping them poor. With their juicy couture cell phones and their LV hand bags they spoke as if they fell into this oppressed group.

Frankly I honestly have no Earthly idea on the financial structure of others countries and these were red blooded American white Christian kiddies. Rich kids who had nothing better to do with their time then complain and talk about how loosing 200 on a Super Bowl bet really didn't hurt them one way or another.

That arrogance, in the face of the real problems in the world...to voice how unjust and unsavory one school of thought it and spit on the people you defend in the next breath...that is what angered me. Not people deserving something and getting it. People who have never not had everything bitching about life...those are the ones I want to smack with a trout until their eyes bleed.

Hope that clears it up.

And in keeping with the spirit of things....

A bit of the eulogy for the dearly departed Graham Chapman.

We miss you Graham

Oh goodness no, I need any money I can possibly get! It's ridiculous how much college cost's and sadly I have to drop out due to the high cost, and possibly moving. But it takes a HUGE chunk out of your finaces. It's saddening that the Canadian goverment dosen't help people 18-30 out. I'm not asking simply for foolish money, it should only be deserved to those who work, go to school and live on their own (as I do). but I guess one can dream eh?

Howdy nerds! Today is one of those days I can't get the Wonderfalls theme song out of my head. Not that I'm complaining. I just wish I wasn't at work and was at home instead watching it.
