Hi Breezy.

Doing the house hold chores I see from your post. Had the hoover out today clearing up Snaps molt. Never seen him drop so much as he is at the moment. He's not looking good at all.

I'm bored tonight so watching the HBO mini series Pacific.
 
I'I give it a go but some stuff that you guy's get we dont. Yep, only available your side of the water. Nice try.

Nothing to be sorry about, Galen is playing a game online and I am watching a show online, so we seem to be checking here periodically. My son is due home soon, so have to finish cleaning up my kitchen and straightening my freezer for the deer meat he is bringing home. He killed his first deer yesterday!

My PC is so slow I cant run Skype other than typing it crashes. Watching streamed stuff is a real pain but one day I will get a better upgraded PC.

Well, its Monday here and Doctors in the morning so I will finish up here and head for bed. Night Breezy.

Deer is one thing i won't touch :(
 
Venison, like some other meats, is sometimes described as "gamey."

I like it, but you can't cook it like you cook regular farm raised beef. It's different.

So...do you have extra??? ;) :D

(and I don't hunt either, no particular reason...just not something I grew up doing, and I think, like a lot of things, if you don't grow up doing it, it's not something you suddenly pick up, midlife).

I do admit I tried hunting, but found out I couldn't do it, just not me. Now if it came down to hunting or starving that is a different matter.

As for the gamey taste, that is all on how you process and prepare it. The longer you let it hang the more of a gamey taste it gets.

I wasn't sure if my son really was into hunting or not, but when I saw the picture of him with his deer I could see how proud he felt. I know he kept saying he wanted to get a deer to help with our grocery bill. He is such a good kid (at times)! LOL
 
Congrats on your son bagging his first deer. Sorry I was not around much today. Been busy on the home front. Catch ya tomorrow.
