Errrrrrrrr, I wish I could join in. It sounds like a blast. Don't have the time, unfortunately.
Have you all decided what it is exactly that you'll be writing? I have an idea -- it's an old writing exercise that helps structure a story written by many different people. One person (Laurel, say) writes out ten or so titles for Chapter Headings, and assigns them to ten or so writers. That way, one writer could set up Chapter Eight (which might be called something like "A Night With Jell-O") by having the heroine buy some Jell-O in Chapter Five. You don't tella nyone what to write, but it does give everyone a chance to play within a structure, and the story ultimately turns out better.
Chapter Headings can be as wacky as you want, like:
CH 1: Elvis Lives
CH 2: The Lanky Lap Dancer of Lincoln
CH 3: Evil Oranges
CH 4: Drowning
CH 5: Velma and Her Two Sisters
Hmmm... That's a thought! We could set it up as a murder mystery... I'd set up two threads (like before) coming off the main thread. I could set the chapter headings up ahead of time, email them to the authors, and post it as well so everyone knows where it's going. That idea would work, I think - it would give the story a shape and a focus, but the authors would still have plenty of room to move. What do you writer people think?
Sabrina - I think the idea we've sort of settled upon is a murder mystery, a la Maltese Falcon (only porno). A Valentine's Day murder... Am I right, kids?
Laurel, I like the concept of assigning chapter titles ahead of time..kinds of give you focus a little. I'm a little nervous on the murder mystery theme but as long as I don't have to lead off, I'll follow the flow of things. This will be a lot of fun, I think!
I had earlier thought of a theme where we kidnap SpecialK and take her deep into the Canadian wilderness, set up camp, and cure her of her shyness with lots of sex and good lovin! Kind of a,uh, Valentine's gift from her Literotica buddies. No more closets for SpecialK after that! (Kidding sweetie!)

HAHAHA!!! The only thing I have to say about that is.... who can survive in the Canadian wilderness in this -20 degree weather. And interesting that you had that theme, Phantom. I have a story (mostly finished but stuck at the good parts) that is kinda along these themes. I'll let you know when I finish it and send it in.
As for the new project, even if I don't decide to jump on the boat for this one, feel free to include me. (Don't forget the snowplow drivers, eh?) heeheehee!

"It so happens that we're in the detective business, and when a man's partner is fucked you're supposed to do something about it. I won't take the fall for you sweetheart, you're going down; first on me, then on the Fat Man. That's it, kid. You're good, you're very good......"

How 'bout we call it 'The Maltese Fuckin'?
That's a porno spoof name if I've ever heard one. And I say we cast me as the insane bad guy who only wants to 'bring lust, sex, and fornication' to it's rightful place on the top of this world's value system...but then we'd all be pulling for the bad guy (no good). Well let's put our heads together (and other stuff he he he) and see what we can CUM up with! HA HA HA (ignore me, I have issues)
By the way, I'm the new guy here. But somehow I feel like I've found a home. Everything will be okay...I FEEL LIKE THE BUMBLE-BEE GIRL IN THE BLIND MELON VIDEO! (again, I forget to take me meds. sometimes)
hmm, sounds interesting to me. I think I may just get involved in it if it's totally ficticious. I didn't want to get involved and write about the people I chat with. Ha Ha. Just felt kind of funny about that.

I'm special! Lau laughed something I said. Now things are looking up. If I was going to stay before, I'm DEFINATLY going to now.
Well, I'm curious how the chapters are going to be split up. Are there going to be 40 chapters? Are 20 people going to write Chapter 2? I am just wondering how this flows...I'm a neurotic like that.

I think it'll work the same way as the Reunion project, only possibly with 3 or more threads coming out from the starting chapter. I will make up titles for each chapter, per Dixon's suggestion. Then, there will be 3 authors (assuming there are 3 threads) that will have to write a chapter that 1) continues on from the previous chapter, and 2) reflects the chapter title. Confused yet?
I say we get this party started pretty soon here. Here's the specs as I understand them (correct any of this if it's wrong):
Title: The Maltese Fuckin'
Theme: Erotic mystery / detective in the Sam Spade tradition.

The deadline for new authors to sign up will be Monday, January 31. I'll make up titles for the chapters, select the author order by random drawing, set due dates for each chapter, and make this info public by Wednesday, Feb. 2. The first chapter(s) of the project will start on Sunday, Jan. 6th.
Yeah, I think 3 threads would work. We'd have one slightly shorter thread, but maybe between now and Monday we'll get one more brave victim, er, volunteer.
Hey, if we need another writer, why don't we get Kip to talk Stef into it...I think she's been waiting for the right time to write her first story...what about it Kip? Stef?
