I'm not sure who asked you to kiss their ass, but perhaps you should just list off all the thing you are NOT willing to do in order to land this unbeatable gig, just so we're clear.

With that said, I honestly couldn't give less of a fuck who does it, as long as it's done right. This is a "position" (not unlike mine) that could honestly be handled by a decently intelligent bot.

I have only just logged on for the day and so have not read all the most recent posts, but one thing I have been wanting to say for days but sat on (until now 'cause I just can't anymore) is that in all my time on this forum and through 3 different periods of the library and librarian position (and this is the 4th) I can honestly say this is the first time it has seemed to create a problem, been full of pouting and personality clashes, tantrums, and basically everything but thoughts of getting the library running again. I am stunned, especially given so few have volunteered. Perhaps this is just another reflection of how much the forum has changed from a serious discussion forum to for some, one for grandstanding, creating special threads for people and their friends(then often accusing others of seeing themselves as above everyone else), inviting play partners to come play with us and loosley disguised personal ads, and basically fighting to get the most attention on a regular basis. I have said it before, but at the risk of being boring will again, we are not a blog, nor are we a personals board, nor a forum to self promote ourselves and our friends...it would be nice if we could go back to posting in discussion threads instead of having seperate threads for every individual where we can or cannot visit depending on how that person likes and/or views us. Rant over.

As to voting for the librarian, let's begin it tomorrow(Wednesday) evening, which my time is about 26-27 hours, and run it through the weekend and until Monday morning for those who only drop in every few days or weekends as well as more regular posters. We can announce the new librarian Monday evening next week. Until voting starts, please feel free to volunteer if you are the slightest bit interested in the position. As far as I can work out between the 'yes I will..no I won't's', we have graceanne and rebecca to choose from...thanks ladies for volunteering and I am sure we would be blessed to have either of you rescue us.

I'm not really sure what you're agreeing with Sin. I'm thinking that the statement in bold insults the fact that your PYL often starts threads showing off certain pictures of you, or the fetish flea market thread which is promoting the pictures y'all take. Not that I'm complaining. I love those type of threads. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the threads in the BDSM Talk just as much, but the Cafe is a nice place to just relax and read over what others wish to share about themselves. Which is what I thought the Cafe was for. If I'm wrong Cat feel free to correct me.

How did a thread about a volunteer position produce so much goddamned drama? Volunteer if you can do it, don't if you can't. If there are multiple options, pick one, vote, or just let both of them do it. It looks like a serious amount of work to me, and having both graceanne and rebecca on it might just make sense.

But overall, fuck, it's a message board. Oh noes, people post off-topic shit, or self-aggrandising claptrap. Whatever. Ignore the ones you don't want to read and respond to what gets you jiggy.

Frankly, the mods don't control the boards. They prune them. They don't own them. Marquis and Catalina don't get paid to do this, and have limited powers with what they can do. So the library died under their watch. It's not like they're paying someone to handle it.

People get too damned wound up over what amount to a bunch of competing monologues. Go monologue. Have fun. If you don't have fun, monologue somewhere else. And if you don't like someone else's monologues, stop reading them.
