Hello

Hi all! Just wanted to say hello, I'm an occasional New Englander. I'm mean my location, (I was born in NH) at the moment I'm in ME. The occasional part is that I'm military and stationed in Germany. I like to pop in while I'm in the area on leave as so far I haven't found anyone English speaking on lit in Germany. Oh and I'm 25/f

hope everything is going well in German land. You are welcome to pop in or pop out or more when you are in NE area. As for not finding english speaking in Germany, its too bad. But why should language be a barrier to anything anyway?

Thanks! and it's not a barrier when you're on a dance floor and you can't hear a thing even if you tried to talk. Its a different thing on the occasions when you want to chat and you're left feeling very dumb because you can't understand the guy and he can't understand you. Though I will say, Germans are most willing to try. It just usually falls a little flat.

I have german relatives and dont understand half their english, so dont fret..:) How long do they get to borrow you over there?

Hope the NE'ers are surviving the wild weather. I am off to Truro/P-town next week, and hoping we can break out of this cycle. 53 degrees last night!! I can imagine Jen was a little nipply...;)

Germany has me for a little over a year. Than the Army can decide where to send me for the last leg of my years with them. I won't know where for quite some time though.
