New Geeky Women Appreciation Thread.

Coming into this thread a little late, but yes I love geeky women. Love em. Fortunately I work at a place that thrives in women geeks. Most of them are shy, introverted types who get embarrassed when you simply say hello to them in the morning. But most of them are also smart, cleave, coy, passionate and truly wonderful persons when you get to know them. I am pretty sure most are also alot of fun in bed, though company rules prohibit finding out. Still, it's a wonderful place to work, and I honor geeky women. You ladies rock! Are "geeky" and "nerdy" the same thing? Does "plain" and "wears glasses" = "geeky?" Is a geeky girl necessarily shy and introverted? I mean, is "geeky" more about how she looks or how she acts? Is a geeky girl usually clumsy? Alone? Anxious? Lacking self-esteem? Submissive by nature? If she's all that but also butt ugly, is her extreme "geekiness" enough to make her attractive as a sex object? I'm asking for a friend...

Geeky and nerdy are often used interchangeably but in my mind there is a subtle difference. Someone can be either, neither or both. A geek is someone who is overly passionate about unpopular/niche topics. Video games. Sci-fi. Fantasy. Tabletop games. A nerd is intelligent and interested in intellectual pursuits. Things like math, science, philosophy. They aren't the same but there's a lot of overlap.

Glasses don't make the nerd but they are a strong cultural signifier. Especially thick rimmed glasses.

Nerdy and geeky girls tend to be shy and submissive, in my experience, but they don't have to be.

Nerdiness makes women more attractive but it doesn't turn a 2 into a 10.

1. I think Geeky = Nerdy
2. I don't think it means "Plain" at all. They are often a bit shy, but can be gorgeous and even a bit of a slut
