I've been reading here for a while, great forum. I have a question about something I've been curious for a while now about my husband. When he gets hard, he never gets an erection, that is to say, he never "stands up". I've been with several other men before him, and no one else has been this way. This has never been an issue with us in any way, I'm just wondering if this is common at all. He and I have discussed it, and he really has no idea why he's like that, says he's always been like this.
Thanks for any comments/speculations.

Are you talking about the angle of his penis when it's erect? Because to me...

When he gets hard, he never gets an erection
getting hard and having an erection are the same thing. Every one is different. I guess it does have something to do with the strength of the erection and that often has to do with age (but not always). But I would not worry, ar long as you're both 'having fun'... so to speak...

Yes, he gets big and he gets hard, it just never stands up, which is why I said erection. I'm probably using the term wrong.
But yeah, our sex is great, it has no impact on it at all.

Not a dumb question

I've never heard about that happening, but as long as it isn't affecting your sex life too much I don't think you have too much to worry about. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

My fantasy ( ) can explain: it's too heavy! Hmmm...

Seriously though... I've never seen it like that (hard but still hanging) but who cares? I wouldn't, as long as he would know what to do with it? I still like this site (found and recommended not too long ago by one of the newer Lit members) that is great for showing no two penises look the same. Flat or erect.

Very cool website, thanks. And look at what I found out: :)
We're glad to have representation from some erections that are below horizontal. There are probably about 1/3 of erections that are horizontal or below. Some erections point straight at the floor.

Are we talking Hard standing up or standing up hard?

WHAT is THE ANGLE OF THE DANGLE?

I agree entirely with LittleWicked. So much variety. So many different definitions of normal. Great to know.

Visiting that website is quite an educational experience. ;-)

Semi- rare but not that unusual

The erectile tissue of the penis is buried deep in the abdominal cavity. ALL guys are hung like friggin MULES. Problem is only a bit on the outside which of course makes ALL the difference.

The base of this erectile tissue is attached to the pubic bone. When the tissue engorges (nitrous oxide is produced on command, this paralyzes muscles keeping only a little blood in the penis and allows blood to flow in under pressure - soon we have a woody!!!) and the organ becomes rigid the base, being attached to a bone, takes on the angle that it is attached at. (make sense so far?)

In some cases there is either very little tissue attaching the erectile tissue to the pubic bone or it is super elasticky. In some cases this is caused by an injury but it occurs naturally too. If the erect penis is violently pulled down from it's usual erect angle the connective tissue can RIP OFF THE BONE. This is extremely painful and needs surgery to correct. Bad thang that!!

Porn actors who use all kinds of different angles so the camera can get "in there" and show close-ups still develop erections but the angled up, commonly seen "erection" is so used to being angled down the tissue has stretched and his woody doesn't point to the ceiling any more.

Some erections angle south, some bend upwards. Some twist to the left or right (politics!). SOme rarely get hard and some rarely get soft. Some are big and others aren't. We are ALL different, thank GAWD!! As long as it can get hard you should be laughin. As long as his tongie and fingers / thumbs can still move - well that's a bonus too.

ps M's LINK - geeeez guys, why didn't somebody warn me? I klik'd it. Now you've ruined my dinner. aacckkk!

This sounds like a Dr. Seuss-ism. ;)
