its on torture-- Can u.s prevent terrorism through torture? and i have to choose from three articles and i chose the one where the woman stated " torture is inhumane but it is unrealistic to "ban" it.
and well take a look![]()
" Copy" <3.lol its good. talking to the old ball and chain
Personally, the use of torture is everywhere and to ban it is very unrealistic. I was reading Charles Krauthammer's argument and there are too many flaws, while people would agree with him to use "torture when needed" my problem was who decided when torture is needed? who has the divine right to say "yes lets go kill this human being, take away his dignity, put him through humiliation" to a terrorist whose taught to hate Americans & -- the American journalism which is completely emebedded and we only see what big brother wants us to see- which most Americans see and "pay attention to" it is not the truth--complete truth . More or less, if we take Iraq as an example, people really do hate most Americans for their ignorance, and trying to change countries such as Iraq or Pakistan which ran on marshal law and they were fine . and even in america theres no such thing as "democracy" its "limited democracy" and even then there are so many problems.. --- sorry got off the topic -point was you should read Charles Krauthammer's "The Truth About Torturing" and McCain's " Torture's Terrible Toll & Cathy Young' "Torturing Logic" -- i'm using cathy young & i just believe there are other ways to get something done like lie then to actually physically and mentally destroy someone to "protect" a million people-- how do we know as "Americans" we are being protected when our own media[all of it ]? is controlled by 5% of the companies. idk there's tons to write about i only need two more pages![]()
& i updated my pics" Copy" <3.
I don't think torture is something that will ever be done away with. It has existed since recorded history. The desire to not be in pain is a pretty strong motivator. The catholic church stretched heretics on the rack or burned them at the stake. The Romans crucified rebel leaders and religious figures. Was it effective? Yes. If we were to take a Nietzsche-esque stance we could argue that since the end goal was achieved, then the method was justified.
As a strategy it is unsurpassed, but I am still not a fan of it. Until we find something more effective, I suppose it will have to do.
