New to writing

Write a little something for the Flashfic thread. It's just 100 words, more or less. You could do that. We all could, even though most people here flitter away their time actually writing stories to be posted on Lit. ;)

Well my stories i plan on posting here on lit and possibly a few other places. The writing means a lot to me and i want to get it down on paper along with my drawings but i've always had problems just sitting down and doing the things i want to do most if that makes any sense?

Self discipline.

I admire those with ambition and self discipline. Both are characteristics I seem to sorely lack.

One way to deal with the discipline thing is set a time limit: in other words, plan to write for an hour, and then reward yourself at the end of the hour by doing something else your ADD is commanding you to do.

A good idea thats how i might have to handle it thanks for the idea!

That's a fun thread. I should get back to it. I submitted "Vignettes From a Thread: Ten flashfic stories in 100 words or less" from that thread. Would you mind voting for it a couple of times, glynndah? I'd appreciate it. :)

And definitely check out Quint's three essays on how to write eroctica, which, I think, should be required reading for anyone wishing to submit a story to LIT.
Her essays are the reason I'm rewriting the stuff I was on the verge of submitting. Well, her essays along with the many other great tips you find around here. There was another thread called 'how to begin' I believe, and another talking about exposition and backstory. (Halfway down in the 'Story Discussion Circle' forum.)
