A bit windy whereabouts? We had wind here on Long Island yesterday but thought today was a nice day although 10 more degrees would have been perfect.

that leaves a lot of real estate but I will just leave it there…growing up on Long Island everything north of NYC used to be upstate to us until I went to college and learned everyone has a different interpretation of upstate. But hopefully the warm weather and soft breezes will reach you sooner rather than later.

Absolutely true. When I moved to Rockland County (I can walk to NJ from my house), my LI friends kept calling it upstate. This pissed off my friends in Lake Placid tremendously. Now THEY are upstate...

LOL you guys are all upstaters to me.. I am on the south shore … similar to what you said, those in Binghamton considered themselves "downstaters" since Pa. is only 12 or so miles away.. so what confuses me was why would they be so upset about the term upstater, as if it was derogatory…

So now that the weekend is here, any NYers have any interesting plans? Need to live vicariously through someone as I worked/commuted over 70 hours this week so my plan is to sleep in tomorrow hopefully until noon.. exciting I know.

Jealous. It's 3:30 am and I woke up and can't go back to sleep. No exciting plans either. Visit to the salon...laundry...then Sunday a trip to the beach to get the house ready for the season. It's a work weekend. Would much rather sleep in!
