I've never played a RP game before.

I'd love to try but I'm not sure if the boards is a good place to start. Any suggestions ?

Well if you are really eager, just join a game and start posting away. If you have more patience, just read through some of the games to get a handle on the style.

You could try joining an Sexual one on that board. Some of those don't have much of a plot, don't last long, and you could fool around with your writing. (literally.)

I've been gaming tabletop for about 8 years. Hadn't found a cool place to do it online until I registered here in late february. I just jumped in.

Where do you get the character's ? Just make em up ? or are there rules to that ?

There may be some limitations to what characters can do or be. If there are it would be posted by the person that is starting the game. They've always got the final say in their game. It's usually a good idea not to make them too powerful too. Sometimes you can get together with a person you know who is in that same game and have your characters already familiar with eachother. That helps.

I am not much of a writer. But I am finding out that writing on this board is fun. I think its cos of the interacting that I have with other people in the story thread.

There are some great writer out there. I don't think I do to bad standing next to them.

Now if someone can show me a program that keep yer cat from fuckin up the keyboard. Tell me.

Think of it this way. You learn something new everyday. Heck I do. All the time. last thing I learned on my computer was that MS Photo Editor can resize pictures. I have had my computer for 3 years & I just learned that one.
