anyone have and advice on different types of nipple clamps? there seem to be so many different styles out there. anyone have a favorite brand?

If you mean hardcore I've only used the screw-down alligator clip (sans gator teeth of course and plastidipped) kind...to good effect on others.

for fun and stimulating wearable arousal, I've seen those daisy looking clips produce good results after she spent time wearing them a while...the brand was "hugs' or nipple hugs" i think.

This and this are good articles. The BDSM library has some excellent discussion on clamps(click me).

Personally, it depends on my all's or my mood. I like the aesthetic look of tweezer clamps (they're long and elegant), and can be worn for a long time if they aren't too tight - ideal for more prolonged, sensation play.

My all prefers to use the clover clamps on me (I wonder why? :D ;)). However, these are intense, particularly if he tugs on the chain. It's quite painful and they are not for the faint-of-heart. They are only used when I'm in the proper headspace and I never have them on for extended periods of time.

Alligator clamps are good alternative and falls somewhere in between tweezer and clover clamps. They look a lot like clothes pin but with a screw to adjust the tension, so you can definitely play with the pain level and can leave them on for longer periods of time. They come either plastic dipped (not as sharp) or none (sharper).

I have a pair of vibrating clamps, but I don't like them much. They're fun, but it's more of a novelty item than anything. However, they are a great way to introduce nipple play: they do not look intimidating, they're cute, they vibrate and they produce a mild pinch. They are more titillating than threatening.

I don't have any that look like vise, but I've been told that they comparable to the alligator clamps. They look appealing in a heavy metal sort of way, though.

Clothes pins were always another meh for me. They scratch my nipples, and not in the fun way, either. For me, they aren't aesthetically pleasing to begin with (along with the sensations, one of the reasons why I like clamps), so I've never bothered aside from curiosity. However, I can imagine that they'll do in a pinch if I accidentally forgot a pair at home when I'm with my all, although I have a feeling that I wouldn't be able to sit for a week if I did, but that's something entirely different altogether.

My wife has three types, an alligator clamp, a chain with elastic loops on the ends to tighten, and some that are rings you have to pull apart and let the ends close back on your nipples.

She likes the alligator clamps. She can tighten these as much as she would like. The ones on the chain are better to wear for a long period of time, and the loop can be tightened as much as you can take. The ring is not worn very often, they fit very tightly, and are like a piercing without going all the way through.

We have tried the screw clamps and were disappointed with them. From our experience, they were even less effective than using a clothes pin and only gave a feeling of pressure.

An Orchad (The plant) was purchased from a big box store.
It died but it left behind these great little nasty clamps that were used for holding the stem to the stick.

Also used aligator clips with little bells on them.
Original use is to put on the end of a fishing pole to tell you if you have a strike.

Ceiling grid clamps

Bobby pins

Roach clips

There are all sorts of things you can use.

Try em all
