Lacey shook her head "Im gonna go wash this one up" she laughed then looked at Lilly who had a big smile and red lipstick all over her lips and cheeks. Lacey laughed "I hope she didnt use my expensive makeup"she sighed.

Lacey gave Elise a look at her comment " that is not funny" she laughed and picked up Lilly then carried her up to the bathroom..

 

[Sanidia]

Elise giggled, 'well i found it funny.'

sighing she got up and walked around the living room looking at the pictures on the walls, she smiled to herself, 'you all look happy' she mentally told Lacey.

Before sitting back down, stretching a little she burst out laughing when she noticed Seb eyeing up one of Lilly's dolls.

Lacey replied " thanks Elise" she bought Lilly upstairs and tried to bathe her but ended up with one herself after lilly's protesting and splashing she dressed the three year old then headed down stairs nearly dripping wet and mumbling to herself as walked through the living room quickly..

Lilly came running down wearing her princess dress and dress up heels and waving her toy wand she says " Lacey come back I'm smorry I can fix you with a dry spell"..

 

[Sanidia]

Elise could see Seb becoming aggitated, frowning a little she smiled as Lily walked into the room with her wand.

'I'm going to let you have some alone time with your family, mine is feeling neglected.' she mentally told Lacey before waving a small goodbye to Lily she disappeared.

Elise smiled when she reappeared in the shadow world, yes it was grey and you couldn't really tell which was sunlight or moonlight but there waiting for her were the all too familiar shadows and Seb.

"Ok guys, sorry i've neglected you." she smiled as they all pulsed, "What game shall we play?" she asked whilst letting each one touch her in reassurance.

Lacey picked up lilly and kissed her forehead and said "go nap Lilly "she laughed "I'm not mad I was just a little frustrated I told you do not splash showertime is just for you.."

She watched as Lilly pouted and went to her room ..

She smiled and told Elise thanks and that she could come anytime..

She headed to check on the twins then Laura the 15 year old..

When Lacey finished checking on all her sisters she checked outside of the house and caught sight of a man but this man didn't seem human at all. He had long black hair and a black cape and looked as if he were searching for something she quickly mad her way back inside closing the door gently and silently to make sure she wasn't seen or heard....

 

[Sanidia]

"hey that's not fair!" Elise giggled as she watched shadows form different shapes. It was the best game you could play with forms who aren't solid. Smiling she turned round to seb, frowning she asked, "what's wrong?"

Suddenly the shadows began to pulse and the cold hand once more touched her shoulder. "death." she greeted knowing who it was, " your interrupting our game." the laugh that followed chilled her to the bone.

"well my dear this is no time to play where are they?"

Elise looked confused, "where are whom?" she asked completely lost but it was then she knew he wasn't playing a game anymore. She could feel the coldness on her skin before the tightening began gasping she fell to her knees.

"you know not to mess with me Elise, where are my souls?"

Gasping for breath Elise couldn't answer, releasing her she lay in the ground looking at death's robes, "I haven't got them." she gasped holding her throat.

Lacey quickly rushed inside the house and gathered her sisters and friends hiding them in the secret part of the store Boone knew about or had access to she looked at them"dont move or make a sound don't even breathe to loudly do you understand"? It's not safe and I'm going to make sure it gets safe something is wrong so please just trust me ok?" she said.

Lacey hugged all of them then packed up I'll come back for you guys there is enough food and drink down here and a small pipe and clean clothes I promise I won't take a long time but don't abuse these things and practice your powers.. I love all of you ok?.

Lacey left the house quietly then went in search of the man. Something felt wrong to her something was happenin and she couldn't figure out what when she drove far enough into town in her convertible she called for Elise..

 

[Sanidia]

Elise looked on terrified as the shadows began pulsing violently as Death paced before her. "Honestly i haven't got them, why would i?" she swallowed standing up, still rubbing her neck as she could still feel the sensation on her skin.

Death turned then, "My souls have gone, my dear Elise and your the only one that has been transporting between the worlds."

She frowned then, yes, it was true she had been transporting but that didn't mean she would steal souls, especially from death himself. "Death." she sighed, "Look at me do you think i would have any use for souls?"

It was then Elise heard the faint shout of her name, 'lacey?' she asked mentally, trying to not show Death she was distracted.

Lacey sighed in relif and said back mentally "Elise are you ok? I feel like something's wrong.."

She filled her gas tank and had her car checked out..

Lacey checked in a hotel with a fake I'd over in the next state and waited for Elise's response anxiously and nervously..

 

[Sanidia]

Elise was about to reply to Lacey's question when Death stared her straight in the eye, crap! she thought before walking backwards out of his reach.

"Now now my dear sweet Elise, you wouldn't be hiding anything from me?" he asked grinning.

she shook her head, she wasn't actually keeping anything from him but if he knew she was talking in the other world, she swallowed nervously.

"Your lying Elise, now why would i be able to smell flesh on you?" she watched as he took a deep breath taking in her scent.

Looking around she noticed the shadows retreating, it was a very bad sign, death was ruler here and he was pissed. standing her ground she looked him in the eye, "I wouldn't hide anything, i have nothing to hide and even so transporting isn't against the rules." she stated folding her arms, trying to look brave even though she was terrified.

Death nodded and began pacing, he knew she was doing something he had seen her transporting quite a lot, it was then he noticed the concentration on her face, "Who is your friend?" he asked noticing the surprise on her face.

Elise knew she couldn't lie to him, "A friend." she whispered looking away, the hand was once again around her neck, the pressure slowly increasing, "Let's meet this friend." he snarled before disappearing with Elise.

Lacey stood in the lobby pacing it's been a while since Elise responded she knew something happened and something inside her told her it wasn't pleasant..
" c'mon .. Cmon... Please just give me a sign or something".. She rambled to herself "fuck!" She muttered.. Lacey ran her fingers through her blonde hair ( a quick choice she decided to go with in her room)and scanned the area with her ocean blue( another choice) eyes.

Lacey waited for at least a half hour for Elise and was a bit frightened and worried for her friend..

 

[Sanidia]

Elise started to panic as his grip tightened, 'please she begged' mentally and physically, death ws royally pissed and whoever had taken his souls would pay big time.

'Lacey hide, don't ask just hide.' she sent the warning before appearing in the hotel room, looking around she was felt relief when she saw Lacey wasn't there.

Death threw her to the ground and paced around sniffing the air like a hungry dog, "I smell fresh meat." he snarled running his hand over the door and bed. Elise sat on the floor rubbing her neck, looking around she didn't know where Lacey had hidden. 'stay where you are please' she begged hoping Lacey understood.

Slowly getting up Elise moved her hair out of her face, "like I said before I haven't touched your souls and my friend has no use for them either." she winced when death roared with frustration.

"beware my sweet." he pointed a finger at her, "if I find anything and it leads back to you, your second death will be more painful." with that he disappeared, leaving a very distraught Elise alone in the room.

Lacey sat in the lobby and swore she felt a disturbance.. She heard Elise in her head begging her to stay hidden and don't ask questions .. Lacey felt a chill she couldn't let Elise get hurt because of her.. She asked a few min later " Elise what's going on? Are you ok? Are you hurt..?" Lacey went to the Bar and got a quick drinks and a few stares in the mini shorts and heels that made her legs appear longer..

Lacey saw a man slide next to her and ignored him .. Cmon Elise she thought..

 

[Sanidia]

Elise began to try and relax, hearing Lacey she smiled, 'don't panic he is gone.' Elise walked around the room, who the hell would steal souls?

Of course death had many a enemy but you never messed with the shadow world, it was a delicate balance. Running a frustrated hand through her hair she sat in the bed and closed her eyes, 'Lacey someone has been stealing souls, I need to know have you been in contact with anyone?'

 

[MzSeductress]

Lacey sighed un relif when Elise answered " no u haven't Elise.. I hardly know anyone I saw a man in the forest earlier but no idea who us is or what he wanted I just hid my family and left before he could see me..

 

[Sanidia]

"a man?" Elise asked confused "we didn't sense anyone following did we?"

Elise changed her clothes, just a grey pair of jeans and grey top and appeared next to Elise. Making sure she was hidden from the human sitting next to Lacey, "did you get a look at him?"

Lacey shook her head " no i didn't sense hi
Anyone. Umm he had long black hair he was muscular umm handsome and he had on a black cloak..Thats all I could remember"

 

[Sanidia]

"that is weird" she muttered, she took a seat next to lacey, "is everyone safe?" she asked remembering little lily.

Turning Elise looked around when she noticed a face staring back at her from the dark corner, smiling slightly she turned and whispered, "seems I'm not the only visitor to this plain." she nods towards the ghostly figure.

Lacey nodded yes everyone is fine she smiled I had an emergency hiding place I stocked and built years ago..

 

[Sanidia]

Elise frowned, "so you have been planning this for years?" she smiled, "what made you start with the shelter?"

Elise sighed with frustration as the drunk continued to try and chat up Lacey, getting up she walked around to him and whispered in his ear, giggling as he tumbled backwards, scrambling away, "that will teach you." she muttered before taking his seat.

"can I ask you something ?" she looked at Lacey a little worried, "has lily ever been to the shadow world? It's just those that can see us can normally transport, but even then sometimes they don't know they actually have...."

 

[MzSeductress]

Lacey responded mentally "I started building when hunters started coming around more".

She listen to Elise talking then saw her walk over to the man and then watched giggling..

She watched the man scramble backwards if his bench and laughed.

When Elise came back Over she asked if Lilly could transport and the thought of it made her pale "I don't think she can Elise she hasn't mentioned anything.. I mean I can see you guys as well but I don't think ive ever transported at leasnt not consciously..

 

[Sanidia]

Elise looked at Lacey whilst she explained, frowning she thought for a moment.

"True you can see me and Seb...I wonder?" she looked at Lacey once more. Shaking her head she dismissed the idea straight away, death was after whoever stole his souls and if she brings a fleshie to the shadow world...nope definite bad idea.

Smiling she tried to change the subject, "So is there not a succubus community you can ask for help?"

Lacey sighed " I haven't ever really met any but Sarah and my father Luke disappeared into thin air and don't really know how I would contact one. I'm really confused with this.."

 

[Sanidia]

Elise smiled, "ok this may sound crazy but I think we have to g back to the shadow world." she smiled awkwardly, "it seems we can't get anything here and who knows you being there might set off a chain reaction."

She thought for a moment before continuing, "I know death wouldn't be happy but I'm sure I can handle one more chokehold" she joked.
