President Trump says he has sent the Army Corps of Engineers BACK to Western North Carolina to rebuild all the bridges and roads!!!!!!!!! Where is CNN, ABC and MSNBC to cover this news and ask the question. "Why COULDNT JOE BIDEN do this?" Was he just incompetent or did he deliberately choose not to assist the people of North Carolina? Of course, we also know that the governor of North Carolina is a Democrat, stood in the way of most aid, and does not care and chose to do nothing because this area voted largely Republican.

Rep. Mark Harris (R-NC) told Breitbart News that Trump would witness the “great failure of FEMA” in the region when he visits the state. It's entirely likely that this politically driven failure will lead to FEMA being disbanded and abolished.

I never comment on political threads. But this one hits home! Governor Cooper sucks!! Biden did nothing and having first hand account of family in the disaster this hits very close. Biden did nothing for the families there, even when asked he didn't know what hurricane. Facts are facts and my close family said they felt like biden and Kamala shit on them.
I will add that when Trump said Elon donated star link systems it was huge. I have first hand knowledge that this helped the effort in a big way because communication was down and this aided in getting support when and where it was needed.

Yeah, and a friend of my husband's and I was part of a relief convoy that went in there - he went in a few times and said the only thing he knew about FEMA was they weren't there where they were needed doing anything helpful. They just got in the way.

FEMA is not in charge of construction. That should be squarely on the state and local government or the private sector. The calling in of the Army Core of Engineers is just a workaround that should not have even been done. If anyone was to blame, it's the state governor for not ordering the construction to be started, instead dragging their feet so that someone else can be blamed, like FEMA. Why should FEMA be in charge of any sort of construction work? They are there to make sure people have the basics of survival till things can be stabilized.

Thank you very much. This is exactly the kind of story I like and prefer to watching the networks grease our asses and slip us the usually bullshit sausage. I also liked the bit about the Amish pitching in to create housing where it was washed out.

A very dear friend and his wife lost their home there and had to be air evac'd out (by a private pilot flying his own helicopter). The state rushed into Asheville, which has a substantial black population, crowing how they were helping the minorities that were most effected. And while it's true that there was some flooding and power loss, it was in the outlying communities where houses were washed away and lives were lost. But those outlying communities did not fit the narrative they wanted to publicize.
