"Late Monday night, a Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter air crew from Coast Guard Air Station Sitka crashed on Read Island, Alaska, during an active search and rescue mission. All crew are alive and are being treated for injuries. Local government agencies from Petersburg along with a second Coast Guard air crew from Air Station Sitka responded and arrived on scene to provide medical care. The Coast Guard will conduct an investigation into what caused the crash and will be forthcoming with information as it comes. A formal press release will follow this statement later in the morning."
