oh i look too.... i just find the words that come to my head as a response not worthy enough... there ain't any that'd say how amazing your photos are...so i just look in silence.

Howdy, Mrs. B!

I've been pretty scarce around these parts -- because I've been touring the southeastern US on my motorbike. North Carolina, South Carolina Georgia and Tennessee. Started this morning at Charleston Harbor and finished in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

But I've been squeezing in a photo op or two during my travels.

While I don't post *many* images, I'd like to think that there's a good bit of *me* in each one that I do post.

I haven't really spent much time with Bordeaux vintages. Though I understand that wines/blends from this region are made from the same Cabernet, Merlot, etc., species of grapes with which I'm familiar from other regions?

Okay I'm done recovering and ready to comment.

Not sure if I was right or wrong, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The jacuzzi images were tantalizing. I could almost picture myself there enjoying a glass of wine with you. I loved the candle pic. Very romantic.

As always the angle of your shots was perfect. And I love your "story."

I'm embarrassed to say I can't remember with certainty whether these were in South Carolina or Georgia. And while the subject matter isn;t anything hugely special, the LIGHT was so unspeakably magnificent that I oulled over and popped these photos off with a little point & shoot camera. The light lasted for only five minutes or less, then it was gone.

I really like the pic with the old barn. The color of the sky is such a contrast against the greenery and the wood of the the barn.

The sky was purple in places; the light was golden.

Parts of the foreground were sunlit; some of the background hills were shadowed by clouds.

The light had so much "character". So much more than a sunny, blue-sky day.

Took my breath away. The snapshots don't do it justice.

Good morning CTY!

I know the skies that you speak of. We had some crazy weather several weeks ago. It was cloudy, then there was a ten minute snow sprinkle, then the sun came out (with frozen raindrops falling), and then a snow squall. All of this in a thirty minute time frame. I tried to take pix out of my window but I didn't quite pick it all up.

stunning cty.....i live down in this area so i know exactly what you are saying...sometimes the sky, light, scenery, just everything is so incredible that i just almost can't look at it, almost too much to take in. i had only lived here about 3 or 4 months when i went out on my carport after a storm and a rainbow was in my back yard! i was in awe....this huge, beautiful, rainbow started (or ended) not feet from me and arced magnificently across the sky....i went out and stood in it, will never forget it.....thank you for sharing with us....

I'll take your word on the rainbow thing, even though I can't make sense of the physics/optics that would make that possible.

This was early evening, maybe 30 minutes or less before sundown -- when the light gets that golden color. Magical. Fleeting, but magical.

Some of my best images have come during the worst weather. Blue-sky days are sorta boring, actually. (Not at all like blue *eyes*; just so we're clear. )

I did some really nice work during a February snow squall in Canyonlands (Utah) several years back. Depending on which magazines and catalogs you read, you may have seen some of it.
