The setting:

- In 2021 China's military research secretly began the development of a metal consuming micro organism, combined with appropriate countermeasures to protect the own installations. The research resulted in a first working colony in 2024.
- During the escalation of the Eastern Asian crisis in 2025 between China and Japan the micro organism was released in Tokio by a squad of secret operatives.
- Within a week the organism mutated, making it immune to the initially developed countermeasures and far more aggressive. Slowly but surely it spread beyond the boundaries of Japan eventually covering the whole world and within a year leaving behind a world without metal. This period is often referred to as the "Ferrite Plague" or the "(Great) Rusting". The organism even went so far as to devour most easily accessible ore deposits.
- Once there was nothing to consume the organism died of starvation, leaving behind a collapsed civilization.
- With the complete destruction of all machinery and transportation society broke down. Riots and famines were common place, humans turning against each other in a desperate scramble for food. A large part of the world's population died in that time.
- It took years to (re)develop agricultural/hunting techniques that did not depend on metal and to stabilze, albeit at a more primitive technology level.
- It is now the year 2036, and the situation finally is somewhat stable.


- Somewhere in the Californian Rocky Mountains a top secret government research facility was located that focused on genetic engineering, already in the process of lab growing the first specifically designed prototypes.
- When the plague broke out the living prototypes were locked away into cryo chambers carved into the rock below the laboratories, before the scientists left them to their own devices.
- Fortunately for those prototypes the near-zero-temperature environment required non-metallic materials, mostly synthetic plastics, sealing it from the organism. So while the facilities above crumbled the cryo chambers stayed intect over the years.
- By 2036 most of the pods had failed due to technical malfunction, but two of them were still intact.


It was then that the events of the story unfolded...

Description Tina is blessed by a slender but also very toned and athletic body with shapely limbs. Hard muscles hiding under the soft silken skin are clear evidence of the rigorous physical exercise she underwent before entering the cryo pods. While her waist is slim and her behind is small but firm and pert her breasts, likely a (negative?) side effect of her genetic engineering, stayed exceedingly massive, heavy and plump, almost to the point where they are an obstruction of her combat prowess.

Her facial features are surprisingly delicate, almost aristocratic, high cheek bones, a narrow jaw, thin lips and cute nose, her large eyes dominating her face.

Modifications SB17 at its core has been created as a combat prototype combining the most advanced enhancements known to date.

- Of all the prototypes she is sporting the greatest strength, speed and reflexes.

- Her sensory perception has been enhanced greatly, even giving her night vision.

- An expansion of her brain enables her to process all ever so subtle sensory input from all senses to in fact give her a 360 degree spatial awareness and sort of a 'combat sense'.

- Due to some genetic 'malfunction' her breasts stay very large even though she underwent rigorous physical exercise. From a purely combat oriented point of view this could be seen as a deficit.

- Her heightened sensory receptiveness results in her being very sexually receptive. That does NOT mean she is in heat all the time, trying to actively bed every man she comes across. Rather whenever her breasts are groped or a penis is inserted into her vagina she will find this quite pleasurable even when this is done under circumstances or with an intensity a regular woman would no longer like.

- Some attempts had been made to give her shapeshifting capabilities, mostly to change her appearance. They failed almost completely. Whatever minor modification of her physique she may attempt does require constant concentration and will not last longer than 5 - 10 seconds tops before reverting back to normal. This precludes altering her appearance. It does make her one hell on an escape artist though, since to slip out of a handcuff or manacle five seconds are plenty.

- Like all prototypes she sports a very robust physique, making her immune to common diseases and sporting highly amplified regeneration that allows her to heal any sort of injury at a highly accelerated rate leaving no scars. This hyper regeneration is based at a cellular level and results in a halting of her aging process once her body reached a status equivalent of a twenty year old human.

- Like all prototypes she is sterile.

Description Fiona has a defined, athletic frame from the constant training and preparation she underwent in her covert operations career before joining the program. While she was always slim and toned the genetic manipulation only furthered this and seemed to accentuate her natural curves. Her hips and slim but shapely, as is here toned and firm rear. Her breasts are pert, rounded swells of a little more than a handful (the manipulation having to do with this as well). Her features were alluring and attractive, with a sharp jawline and nose along with a wide mouth and expressive lips.

Modifications Being one of the first test subjects for the genetic manipulations and specific intelligence training, Subject RA3069 has small range of unique abilities.

- She has an increased agility, manual dexterity, and reflexes.

- Hearing and vision increased to superhuman levels, offering a limited low-light vision and to hear the faintest of noises.

- Increased limberness similar to a professional contortionist.

- While not geared towards front line combat, Subject RA3069 was conditioned for a more stealthy approach to combat. She has the innate ability to hide and sneak, literally blending into her surroundings if need be. Through training and the genetic manipulation she has developed a 'killer-instinct' and given a few moments to size up a person can bring them low (paralysis or even death) with a pin-point strike to the vital areas.

- Her heightened sensory receptiveness results in her being very sexually receptive. That does NOT mean she is in heat all the time, trying to actively bed every man she comes across. Dave and Mark (outdated)

The seemingly mismatched couple had worked together for several years now. A cooperation borne from coincidence they soon realized how ideally their different capabilities matched each other.

While the first impression one might get from them is less than favorable, both are rather smart individuals, else they would not have survived that long on their own, supporting themselves by petty crimes, the occasional odd job here and there for one of the gangs controlling the land, and rather successful scavenging forays into pre apocalyptic installations.

Mark, a low profile mobster before the Ferrite Plague, has grown disillusioned over the years in a world that seemed without pwerspective, driven on mostly by the need for survival and the occasional hunt for pleasure these days. Despite this, he still is a rather good planner and a skilled and charming negotiatior. If he wants to. Or a rude asshole, also if he wants to.

Dave was only ten years when the plague broke out, and barely remembers the world as it was before. A true child of this new age he still harbors the unbreakable hope that he will make his way. That and his remarkable knack for all things technical and mechanical, make him a valuable companion for Mark.
