The problem of course would be to get Congress to impose this tyranny on Americans.
In regard to giving testimony against yourself, but I'm not sure the Fifth would apply in this case. The whole idea of government imposed mandatory voting does violence to the idea of a free society. That said, Article I may actually give Congress the power to require mandatory voting for congressional representatives and since voters elect their representatives at the same time they vote for Presidential candidates the requirement might actually be imposed indirectly. The problem of course would be to get Congress to impose this tyranny on Americans.

DEAD!
Let's see if the Obamaniacs backtrack as well.

Obama never proposed a mandatory voting law. Obama never even proposed mandatory voting. Obama said it would be a good idea if everybody voted, that is all. He said nothing about making it mandatory. In one breath the Rogue President reels you in with concerns for the poor and minorities not being part of the process, and in the next proposes a mandatory law that would further burden them with fines for not getting to a place in time to vote. Besides, who really wants to be governed by people to fucked up to get to a polling place on time and when they do have no real understanding of the fucking ballot?

"Other countries have mandatory voting," said Obama "It would be transformative if everybody voted — that would counteract money more than anything,"
Tell me he isn't advocating it.
