Obama expels 35 Russian diplomats

The Russians going into Afghanistan is probably the root cause of radical Islamofascism. There they learned that a large Imperialist conventional army could be beat. Bin Laden's Al-Qaeda got it's start. Then the decision was made to deploy troops to Saudi Arabia during the first Iraq War. This was a gross violation to the Wahhabis sect that controls religious life in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is holy ground to most Muslims. Then the 2nd Iraq War completely destabilized the region. When Syria fell into civil war it created an entire ungoverned region that Daesh could get a foothold in. Destabilizing Libya was no help and probably helped spread Islamofascism deeper into Africa.

The refugee crisis from the whole region brought many single disenfranchised dispirited young men to Europe. Still better to be disenfranchised unemployed in Europe than killed in Syria, Libya or Somalia.

So the roots of this go back 30 years or more. If you include the support of authoritarian regimes in the name of cheap oil, we can look back as far as the end of WWI. Lots of blame to be spread amongst many nations and political leaders and parties.

We rail against the abuses in Saudi Arabia against women but still buy their oil and sell them weapons. There is no political will amongst politicians and no moral will amongst the general population to incur some economic hardship by not buying their cheap oil and selling them weapons.

Same with Russia. Europe would be really hurting without Russian natural gas and oil. Also fearful of invasion by Russia. And better to buy cheap TVs from China then talk too much about their human rights issues.

To take the moral high ground would be cripplingly expensive. We would be forced to adopt radical socialist policies and a controlled economy. Want to give up your 8 cylinder F-150 and big screen TV so some Arabic women can vote or Beijing can have breathable air? Want to strip military budgets to nil and rely on nukes as a deterrent and give massive aid so Indian peasant don't starve?

Radical Islam is a backlash against what they see as Imperialist and colonial powers still supporting authoritarian regimes. Better to have your own authoritarian regime than one imposed by a foreign country.

There are thoughts that Islam is going through changes not unlike the Protestant/Catholic conflicts that racked Europe a few hundred years ago. Those wars killed off as much as %50 of the German population.

There are still real Democrats in Congress as shown by the vote to overthrow the old establishment of Princess Nancy and the Nevada Cattle Thief. The Republicans still have a lot of Copperheads in Congress who also need to be shown the door. By trying to keep the old Establishment they have insured that the next mid term election will just about be the finish of the old breed and the people will again rule this country.

When Congress again becomes a real branch of the government with members of both real parties in session maybe instead of a bunch of do nothings like we have had for the last eight years, they will work for the people. And the Supreme Court might yet be made a real court of law and not a bunch of political butt kissers who don't even know what the Constitution is.

Old Obama never took any responsibility in office or even admitted he was president, always making it seem as if Bush was still in office. If you go along with his excuses then you will understand how the next three presidents will be blaming Obama for the mess he made of the world and how long it is going to take to fix it. He will go down in history next to Buba Clinton as the worst president this country has ever had.

So as much as we have to hate the Czar of present Russia, don't blame him for Clinton's stupidity. That is her fault. Maybe Obama will realize he doesn't have to be her lap dog anymore.

I don't honestly have anything against the Afghani war as a whole. I think perhaps it could have been handled better but hindsight is awesome stuff.

I don't put nation building and Americanization in the same group really. And I do approve of nation building, preferably without the wrecking them in advance and in focused and concentrated ways. Water and sewage, farming, power and schools. I do believe that the ME and to varying levels the rest of AFrica and parts of South America are less evil and more poor and pissed off and getting them fat and happy should be a priority simply because Big Macs are cheaper than Humm Vs. Also I'm sick and tired of data gathering and getting groped on the plan.

I agree it was largely about money (Iraq anyway) but I don't so many of the same facilities can be used for making other stuff that it's not like other people would be making money if we decided that we were gonna fix the US infrastructure and team with the UN (still primarily spending our money but the politics of a Russia, China US alliance to modernize the ME simply looks better on paper and in the history books and raises fewer suspicions) to fix countries and regions. I mean you were in, as much as we hear about Lockheed and Haliburton nobody talks about Osh Kosh (best known for overalls for children) or Saab and similar companies. 1. The Attorney General Eric Holder appointed people to look into it and address it.

2. The FBI reached this conclusion:

"In January 2014, the FBI told Fox News that its investigation had found no evidence so far warranting the filing of federal criminal charges in connection with the scandal, as it had not found any evidence of "enemy hunting", and that the investigation continued. On October 23, 2015, the Justice Department declared that no criminal charges would be filed."

3. Obama himself was never implicated in this.

Compare this, on the other hand, to Trump's reaction to the Russia hack..
