Obama for change?

Well, if we really want to drive the mourning RR crowd batty on this point, would this be a good place to note that Al Gore, not RR, invented the Internet? :D
Uh-oh! You said "Al Gore!" You in trouble now, Lucy!

You don't seriously think Warren Buffet was gonna take that cut in pay?

Cut? Cut? :D:D
You do know his salary at Berkshire is $100K, don't you?

Hell, he'd be getting a raise at GS23 ( or whatever the bureaucrats call it ) rates !!

The real reason "Uncle" Warren would never accept a formal role is that he is constitutionally incapable of tolerating politicians, bureaucracies, committees and inefficiency. After all, his old man was a Congressman and he spent his adolescent years around Cancer On The Potomac ( a/k/a the District of Confusion ). He's seen how sausage is made and wants no part of it.

Also, for any cabinet-level position he'd have to sell all his holdings in public companies or put them into a blind trust. Not. Going. To. Happen.

That's Sodom on the Potomac :D
Home of the 5 sided squirrel cage and Thundering Herd of Dumbass Hill

Once again, I can't understand.

What must it be like to believe every single representative elected to office and every single civil servant is at best completely incompetent and more usually an active force of evil?

How can a person live with that much fear?

The way the press treats politicians in the US do you think any office attracts the best and brightest?

Can't even find a majority with common sense, why do you think Congress has a 12 - 19% approval rating, about half of Bush's most of the time?

Or Obama running to the center :D

I made plenty of popcorn to munch while I watch the Obama-Nation slide into Hell.

Re: Clinton

Bill cost the Democrats the House in 1994, then the Senate in 1996.

That's very comforting, since heretofore you've been wrong in all of your political prognostications. :D

It is not FEAR it is the amusment of watching the Dumb Asses in a circle jerk.

Indeed.

You know, we haven't seen ami or Roxelby about lately.

Hmmm.
Yes! This leads me to my long held conspiracy theory: they, and J.J. and Desert are all one in the same person! A multiple personality perhaps?

They're probably plotting their car bomb campaign.

Since Americans have now proven themselves too stupid to vote properly, they'll have to be taught their mistake.

I'm joking, mostly.

lol you don't drive me nuts. I just think its crazy to think the clintons were good....if you could compair the clintons to a business the clintons would be Enron.

to think that the clintons were good for the economy, are you on crack? one has to take a look at the what the economy was doing. look at the boom in technology and where did that come from? how did that start? why did the pc become faster, less expensive, and smaller?

well al gore did invent the internet....

just take a step back and look at the big picture, don't look in your little box...think big picture

companies wanted technology, lots of jobs in the tech sector...it was a boom till the dot com days

Always happy to drive someone nuts who's pro-RR and full of shit. Especially if they misunderstand me.

I mean that the Clintons didn't borrow money on U.S. credit recklessly or spend it recklessly enriching their oil buddies as Bush did nor did they needless funding a war we didn't need and wouldn't do us any good, wasting more money and getting us into one hell of an economic hole like Bush did. That's what I meant. So if that didn't happen, I don't see what anyone has to complain about when it comes to Clintons and the economy they either created or maintained (pick your word).

Happy to drive you nuts any time you like: Clinton. Clinton. Clinton.

omg how to get past July 2008!

Wait! Are you saying that's Obama's fault? Hell, he wasn't even his party's official nominee in July, much less the president-elect.

That's a helluva lot of influence for a politician. Impressive. Instead of trickle down, it's now trickle up. Or, does it trickle in whatever direction supports your assertions?

As for the change bit, that comes from policy. Surrounding yourself with experienced people who have similar ideals and can be trusted to implement your policy is just smart business.

A curious observation. What, may I ask, makes you believe that?

I wonder if Obama will gp through with appointing the token Republican to his cabinet? (another one of his ideas about change)

The fact that they gutted the military and cut the intelligence budget by 30%+ setting up 9/11. That is Clintons budget surpluss, nothing else.

Holder for Atty Gen? The guy that set up all the pardons at the end of the Clinton farce?

Even the media is already turning on Obama.

"By KEVIN FREKING, Associated Press Writer Kevin Freking, Associated Press Writer – 10 mins ago

"WASHINGTON – President-elect Barack Obama promised the voters change, but he has started his Cabinet selection process by naming several Washington insiders to top posts."http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081120/ap_on_go_pr_wh/obama_cabinet

He could at least have sat around for a month, then said, "I’ve worked harder than I’ve ever worked in my life to meet that goal," like Clinton did as an excuse for breaking his tax-cut promise.

It just shows his inexperience at lying, compared to the master, Bill Clinton.

Absolutely amazing.

The man can't actually do anything yet, but you'll put him in the pillory for not doing anything.

Idiots.

Well, he's a liberal, you know. And, um, an improper skin tone. And a member of a religion that hates freedom.

How can you expect him to do anything that isn't drawn from Stalin's playbook? ;)

Oh NO! God forbid that Obama is picking people who have proven experience and track records of getting things done! WTF can he be thinking! These "terrible" choices are people who might even mean that he will be able to do what he said he would! How dare he!

Not to mention starting the selection process WELL before what is normal!
(What next? OMG, he might actually start accomplishing things as soon as he is in office!) ;)
