You're the one who wants to give Iran a nuclear weapon... with a lit fuse.Obama's biggest priority, giving Iran a nuclear weapon:
Iran: The ‘Americans Are Begging Us for a Deal’
‘Iran prepares itself for war with global powers’

I didn't see where the Chief of Staffs were sent out to count derelicts and hobos across the fruited plain, can you point me to the correct sentences?
So you finally make my point that Obama is the first President to send his Chief of Staff to count derelicts and hobos across the fruited plain. You must be saying that nobody in the Obama administration, or any subordinate below his Chief of Staff, has the mental acuity to count derelicts and hobos across the fruited plain.
Tens of thousands of bureaucrats wringing their hands over the issue, an army of liberal academics studying the issue for decades at the state and federal level have produced no data as credible as that discovered by the White House Chief of Staff trudging along the streets of America's skid rows?
Not unless I had zero faith in the ability of my subordinates, or any of the existing data being generated by California government officials already on the ground. We're talking about possibly the second most powerful person in government walking the streets of San Francisco's skid row personally counting derelicts and hobos. LOL.
Wait, the President's chief of staff is the second most powerful person in government?
Someone better tell the Vice President.![]()
The fucking Vice President is a figurehead. He has no authority not ceded to him by the White house except his constitutional duty to the Senate. You can gauge his power by how many times White House staffers have told him to shut the fuck up in his public comments.
Stupid argument, The White House Chief of Staff exercises real power when he is employed. The Vice President exercises none, until he's employed either in the Senate or as a successor to the President. Meanwhile, he a figurehead.
In fairness UD, at my old office the bosses Secretary was the most powerful person in the business and everybody knew it. Sure her power was that of the schedule but the boss didn't do much without her telling him and if you pissed her off she'd tell the boss and you'd hear about it. He was about as in charge as the average man is of his family.
It doesn't sound like your boss was much of a leader then if he did little without her say so.
But I was speaking of my CEO's Administrative assistant. She keeps his schedule, sure. But she wouldn't presume to think for an instant that she was the most powerful person in the company after her boss. Not even 4th, or tenth.
Vetteman's assertion that the President's Chief of Staff is the second most powerful person in the government is hogwash.
Biden has very little actual authority. Some veeps, such as Cheney, wielded quite a bit, but Jolted Joe is not one of them. If I had to say who had the most authority in the gov. right now, I would say it is the speaker of the house.
You have probably heard the old joke: There were two brothers. One grew up and went to sea and the other grew up and became vice president of the USA. Neither was ever heard of again.![]()
Since VetteBigot turned tail and ran like his ass was on fire and his hair was catching maybe you would like to explain exactly how the President's Chief of Staff is the "second most powerful person in government".
Orange John? Now that's a fucking hoot.
The Speaker of the House has very little actual power or authority. It could be most easily compared to being a cat herder.

"Powerful" might be the wrong word, since the COS has no real authority. However, he or she has a great deal of influence. which can translate to power.
