Which I think I will do as a way for Play and Sera to meet Poetry and Novel at a grand opening feast for the newly created Chancel of Chrarades

Overseeing personal projects for the improvement of the Chancel

Governing the residents
Residents are something we haven't gotten into yet, as I am trying to build things slowly, but basically, the are the humans who live in the Chancel
 
So, a "Chancel" is a place, then? Or an organization, sort of? Or both?

By the way, how many of us are there? Us Powers? Are we common? Just out of curiosity.
 
Hey I'm really happy some more people got interested in this.

Polite, I just skipped Andy's transformation scene, since it would have been a lot like Sera's, and had him use his new Power to turn into a duck. Can he do that? Nobles can do pretty much anything if it fits their Estate, right? Should it take him a while to figure out how? He could be stuck that way for a while or something.

I plan on Andy being pretty silly, especially if there's going to be heavy-hearted Poetry hanging around. Sort of the Delirium to your Dream. If the tone of my post goes against what you're trying to create here, I'm more than happy to change it.

It made me laugh, and since I've been really stressed with my daughter getting in a car accident last night that's a good thing.

I might change my opening post, however, so that it's for the Light and Heavy Heart and everyone can be together.

The word "Charades" is very ambiguous in that respect. After I wake up etc etc I'll change my post and add some stuff here.

Should I go ahead and post my char's Ennoblement or should I wait for the Chancel thing to be sorted out?
 
Thank you for asking Maka; she's fine, I just can't seem to focus today and sit down and look up the stuff I need to look up to change the stuff I want to change to make sense to the people who are waiting on me.

*sigh*

Please, attended to your en-noblement, your Chancle will be Charades and Play and Sera will be your co-Nobles.

I'm makeing it a balanced Chancle, with both light and dark.
 
Sorry I haven't posted my Ennoblement yet. Give me a little bit more time, maybe a couple more days, and I should have it up.
 
I made the Imperator a little darker and unhappier in mine; I figure she'd sort of fine-tune herself towards each of her chosen Nobles and present a different aspect of her personality to each
 
I've edited the opening post, added a bit of my PC, and am in total awe of your writing skill Maka.

Would it be too much to ask if I take "Justice"
character concept is a ex-cop turned PI who left the force because of the corruption in the system. He longs to see that justice be done, but has no way of enforcing it

(raw idea, but i've only been cooking it for a few minutes)
 
I thought we had to do something to do with Creativity, though? Or do we not, anymore? If that's the case, I could probably come up with a better Power for Rena... :)
 
That was the orginal thrust of my thought processs..yessss, however, some flexability is required on my part so....

Instead of "Creativity" I've sorta changed it to "Inner Fire", which is a cheap catch all in order to lure players into my wicked plot...er..my very nice game.

So Justice would seek out those Passionate about Justice, and aid them etc, etc.

Which means that the Lady would have to be a Wild (which I'll explain later)

What I'm trying to do here is build everyone's knowlege of how the game is played/is about in a seris of steps.

So, at this point, we have the Lady and the Chancel. Our goddess and her place of power, in other words, and are working on gathering Nobles into it.

Does that make sense?

Rena O'Connor

Age: 17
Gender: Female
Description: Dark hair, green eyes, pale skin, medium height, slender build. Soft, sensitive expression, most of the time, and often smiling sadly. Pretty, in a "girl-next-door" sort of way.

--Power: Temperance--

Balance. Weighing each side, each possibility. One must be empathetic and intelligent. Constantly questioning in order to find the perfect balance -- and wondering why one even bothers. Why, indeed? Because of an inner fire, a burning desire...

Rena is Temperance. She is quiet but kind on the outside, but filled with turmoil on the inside, constantly trying to find the perfect solution for everyone. She's cheerful and can sometimes be enthusiastic, but asks a lot of questions of herself, and of others.

Rena, while confused, is not, per se, a member of an "alternative crowd" in her high school. If you asked most people in her high school about her, you'd probably here: "Oh, Rena? She's a sweetheart. Very smart, too. I don't really know her that well, though." Rena generally keeps to herself.

Rena's father is a deadbeat and her mother died of drug addiction and alcoholism only a year previously. She has recently begun living with a guardian, a friend of the family, but Rena still grapples with grief for her parents. She ascended while watching the muddy stream near her guardian's house flow, thinking about the constant fight that is her life and seeing the cycle in the stream... similar to the Tarot Card of Temperance, of the woman pouring water from one jug into another...

Name: Artimus Demitri Kain
Description: White male , 42 years old, 6'2" 220 lbs. Black hair, green eyes, with a salt & pepper beard & mustache.

Power: Justice

Artimus has spent his entire adult life seeking justice for those wronged by crime and violence, and seeing the criminals getting off 9 times out of 10.
His last case was his worst one yet. He was called in to testify on a rape case, and the judge threw it out because of lack of evidence, evidence he had collected and logged in, that was removed when the defendan'ts rich & powerful father bought somebody's soul in the department.
It was too much.
Two days later the girl who was raped, a 16 year old neighbor of Kain's was dead of suicide, and the rapist was now targeting a new girl, Kain's niece, so he decided to confront him.
Kain discovered him when he went to visit his sister and heard sounds of a struggle. He walked in on his niece being raped by the same kid. In a fit of rage, he emptied 9 rounds into the 17 year old rapist, and took justice into his own hands.
His trial lasted 8 months, and at the end, no evidence was brought that there had ever been a rape, and his record was changed to show violence and a histrory of mental problems. The rapist's father had deep pockets, and many ties, both legal and illegal, so he bought whatever testimony he needed.
Arimus was sentrinced to Death, and at the end of his senticing, he had one thing to say
" I would trade anything, my life, my soul, to see that Justice would be done in this world!"
Somebody heard him.

Just a few refinements if you want to use this (stuff that would have been covered when I posted "Orli's Feast"):

In the world we will be in (Prosatic Earth) law is not "presumed innocent til guilty" but is "presumed guiltly til innocent". Police butality is common, but will be over looked if results are good.

And, lastly, their mundane lives continue.

So, RE: your PC to be considered for Juistice it would make more sense if he found the rapist and DIDN't shot him full of lead himself but turned him over, trusting in the law and being an honorable man. Otherwise he's reacting emtionally to the sight of his neice. But, if after the mock trail where the boy gets released again he does a Judge Dread and holds his own trail in some dark ally and then kills the boy and doesn't get caught so he can pursue his mundane life, that would work better.

Then Orli could look at him and say "His inner light for Justice was brighter than his inner light for Vengence."
