ok, me & Arc worked it out, the owl should be heading to the planet after she wakes up & gets some caffene in her ( 24 hours probably), so the entire group will be at roughly the same location!!!

Yes, I wasn't sure if that was clear or not. I thought I had made it so, but apparently not. The crystal isn't a force field blocking the force, it's more like a filter.
Instead of giving of Sith rays, it makes them feel like he's giving off Jedi rays. Everything had changed, his attitude, the color of his saber, everything.

got a timeline question

Ok, are we playing this as the Empire reborn, 'cause I thought we were playing 50 years after the battle of Endor, which makes the New republic the dominant government, & the Empire only has a few systems that it holds sway over. I am also assuming we are skirting the whole Yuuzahn Vong thing ( unless your religious about reading the books it would make no damn sense) so, that leaves the New Republic, & from the earlier post independent jedi with no formal council, & the Sith on their homeworld as the major players/govt.s in the galaxy. I just thought I would ask, because if the Empire is reborn, there is a whole new set of people who want my nuts in a vise!

As far as I know, from reading this thread, we've come to the following conclusions:

It's 50 years after Return of the Jedi. The Empire was defeated, but not destroyed, meaning there are still Star Destroyers out there, with Stormtroopers, etc. The Rebellion wasn't strong enought to take over, so there is no New Republic. Star systems are, for the most part, on their own. Jedi Master Luke Skywalker has been dead a year, and had established the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4, but not all Jedi were trained there. The Sith, are for the most part, in control of what's left of the Empire.

At least, that's what I was able to piece together.

It's much more fun with the evil guys still in power, that way most of the fights are going to be unfair.

Here's a better question, since when has Lucas ever made it a fair fight? Yeah, I thought not.
If you are concerned about the New Republic, we could make it so that the New Republic was trying to gain power once more, but after Luke's death, things sort of fell apart, jedi going their seperate ways.
Now, all that's left of the Order is a few wandering around, and a small outpost.
That way we can keep part of the timeline. Like it was stressed earlier though, we aren't particularly trying to follow any SW timeline. We are sort of making it up as we go along. That way we don't have to be restricted in so many fun things we can do.

Well. I figured it would work best if there're several outposts, but no real union between them. Contact, but not a united effort. That way, we have something to build an actual Resistance out of, something to give us plenty of good-guy NPCs and plenty of battle lost and won without running out of soldiers and having only the good guy player characters left.
As far as who was in control, I thought we going from the angle that the Sith are just now reemerging. That they've been in the background gaining strength. Was I right about that?
Also, there should be fairly decent number of Jedi, in my opinion, that way there's always room for a new player character in that sense.
As for the winner, very few threads end neatly enough to really plan it. But I did have an idea concerning what we could do that might be interesting, and leave it open for another thread. Ep. VIII. I'll PM poohlive about it sometime, if the thread leaves the possibility open.
