Speaking of minimum words in a post, was that just 4 words in a post? Well, yes, it was...by Khadgar! HAHA...erm...yea...anyhow, post 197...started today at like 140
Use Guar, he's fine. I just want to help you get back into this thing, and I think getting you over to Hutt space will make some waves.
Hee hee, just follow the force.
Cool. I'll hang around until you get there if you want. We can work out a storyline for us. Although I plan on dropping the child off wth the Jedi. But maybe I'll be forced to train him myself. The child was only a way to get me involved with other characters. I didn't want to be flying around the galaxy alone the whole thread.
One other thing, I've mentioned the Academy on Yavin, now. I was under the assumption that it would be ok to use it because of the fact that when Luke became a Jedi Master, that was the first thing he did, was found the Academy. Also, since there are Jedi running around, and Luke was the last one, we all had to be trained somewhere. Which brings me to the timeline question I had asked before. I figure it has to be at least ten years since Return of the Jedi, in order for Luke to have even had time to train any Jedi at all before his death a year ago. Especially considering there at least two Master in the thread. Is that OK with everyone?
I don't think it matters that much on specifics years. Orlanth said he originally wanted it to be some years after RotJ, so 8, 10, 15.
It's better, for me at least, if we don't go too specific. Hell, Lucas has't been specific with us. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away? How vague can one person get...
Of course, we can't go too specifically with the timeline of the books after RotJ, especially since we're changing a lot of important things. Everything from the apparent death of Luke, to the near destruction of the Jedi, again, and this uprising of seven hundred million Sith warriors.
Besides that, there are a bunch of characters missing. (Han, Chewey, Leia, all of their children)
I think, if anything, we should sort of do a little tangent line for this thing. We use the same universe, with much of the same rules, but just forget about the minute details of the books and make our own thing.
You know, how most fantasy books usually have similiar rules for races like dwarves are short diggers with beards, and elves are mystical immortals with long flowing hair and excellent archery skills. Sort of like that, only with space.
Well, Pen only mentioned it because I sent him a pm regarding his saying he got trained by Luke Skywalker, ie at the Academy, and as far as I know, in our game both have been destroyed. Not sure how long after RotJ we'd be, but if we just said 50 years, most of the common establishments are gone (shops are still around, new owners) and it'll be easier to just make up things instead of having to huff and puff about this and that.
Actually, I agree with around fifty years. That means that a bunch of Jedi trained under Skywalker, and that way no one has to say that they were specifically trained by Luke.
They could have been trained by one of his students. This way, all the Jedi don't necessarily know each other, and it means that everone can have some sort of a different style. I would imagine that the way a human and a Yoda teach the force are a bit different.
fifty works for me.
OK, so we're agreed on 50? I'll keep that in mind. So, Luke Skywalker died fairly old, since it was last year, which isn't unusual for a Jedi. And i don't have to change any of my posts! That's my favorite part, lol.
